Snoop's Take

The Aigostar Sandwich Maker is a compact electric grill designed to simplify the process of making delicious sandwiches, toasting various types of bread, and preparing quick meals. With its non-stick deep grid surface, it allows for easy cooking and cleanup, making it an ideal addition to any kitchen, especially for those with limited space. Consumer feedback highlights a mix of satisfaction and some reservations. Many users appreciate its convenience and ease of use, with one stating, "It's a pretty silly contraption. It just makes cooking them easier." However, some find it bulky and question its necessity, as shown in comments like, "it does take up a lot of space. I could easily live without it." Despite these concerns, the sandwich maker is frequently used and loved by families for its ability to encourage cooking at home. Overall, the Aigostar Sandwich Maker comes highly recommended for those seeking a convenient and fun way to prepare sandwiches and other grilled foods, especially in smaller kitchens where space is at a premium.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Works perfectly and is easy to clean
I own this and it works perfectly fine. It's pretty easy to wipe down as well.
Best choice. Buy it. Sturdy, easy to clean and doubles as a griddle.
Bought a sandwichmaker and now im regretting it Bought a Breville Duraceramic to avoid teflon on my sandwich and bocadillos and to be able to easily clean it due to being flat.
Pizza is nothing more than an open face sandwich. Yes.. I went there.
Sturdy and doubles as a griddle
Solid multi-tasker. Alton Brown would approve.
Encourages cooking and food preparation among family members
I learned pretty quickly that the meat's gotta be cooked first, but since I cook bacon or sausage patties on a grill, they tend to dry out, so I ended up just buying pre-cooked bacon.
Hey, if it gets them preparing their own food it’s worth the space lol.
Used frequently and appreciated despite initial doubts
I have one. It is incredibly stupid, and I’m sad to say that I like it and use it about once per week.
Convenient and easier than traditional methods
It's a pretty silly contraption. It just makes cooking them easier.
In general, it's slightly more convenient than skillet + toaster + microwave, and easier to clean.
Non-stick coating makes cleaning easy
Even though my model seems to have some sort of non-stick coating, one sandwich toasting session usually ends in an unholy mess of cheese, bread and filings stuck to the corners and the coating, with hours of cleaning the automatic consequence of 10 minute toasted sandwich enjoyment.
I clean it while it's still hot (very carefully with a kitchen towel)

Bulky and takes up storage space
but at the same time I'm glad I have one - sometimes a toastie just hits the spot.
Takes up a lot of space
it does take up a lot of space. I could easily live with out it.
Design flaw with angled top causing food to slide out
Large George Foreman. We use it for toasties, meat, fish, everything.
Bulky and takes up a significant amount of storage space
Mine loved their quesadilla maker. What a waste of an appliance.
Commonly found in thrift stores, indicating potential overuse or dissatisfaction
I’ve never had one myself but that tells me they were either over used as gifts, people overestimated how much they’d use them or they just suck.
Considered silly or unnecessary

Users share sandwich-making tips to prevent slippage
How to stop sandwiches from slipping all over the place? Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but does anyone have any tips/tricks to prevent the dreaded sandwich slip?
- slice tomatoes thin - softer bread holds ingredients better than toasted bread and soft ingredients - don’t over-stuff the sandwich - hold outer parchment and peel back as eating the sandwich to prevent slippage and keep your hands clean
The parchment is the key! I also sometimes use paper towels if out of parchment, or the other day, I used Glad Press n Seal, that honestly may become my new go-to wrap, especially for sandwiches.
It'll happen to some extent. That said, I have a few "rules" for sandwiches.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Users enjoy making various foods like grilled cheese and chicken
We have one and use it all the time.
Who else reheats pizza with a panini press, making toasty sandwiches?
Discussion on Teflon vs. ceramic coatings
Only issue w/ teflon is shitty searing and have to use wood/plastic utensils. All these should not be an issue for sandwhich making.
