Reheating pizza - just dont close it. Reheat slices on the bottom plate alone.
Quesadillas are quick and easy. Flattened chicken breast is perfect for a press and can be used for a sandwich or as a main entree with veggies/rice.
They seem like a fun and easy way to make some incredible grilled sandwiches. If I get one is it going to sit on my counter unused after a month, or is it going to rock my world?
Versatile for various cooking uses
Large George Foreman. We use it for toasties, meat, fish, everything. Definitely more versatile than a standalone toastie maker, might give you the wee bit of leverage in persuasion.
Excellent nonstick surface for easy cleaning
so cleaning is not challenging.
Great for making breakfast waffles
My all-clad is just shy of 10 years old and works amazingly still to this day as it did the day I got it.
Quality construction with long-lasting durability
They are an affordable brand that make quality products, would recommend.
It’s a German designed machine, made of really heavy duty metals.

Food slides out due to angled top
It's only useful for small sandwiches, anything thicker and the door will push it out of the platform.
The bread would just slide out of the platform. I don't see a way around this.
Poor performance of some products over time
Brilliant appliance. Try making a toastie with some strawberry jam and medium cheddar cheese, just wait for the lava to cool somewhat before eating.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Exploration of different names for sandwich makers
Our breville works for us pretty well, we also have the waffle plates too, I'd recommend it.
Debate on the effectiveness of different sandwich making methods
Sandwich maker or food press?? Which one of these are more worth it in your opinion?
For life? 2 cast iron pans.
Alternatively you can buy the cast iron grill press, and heat it up in the pan.
We used a brick covered in foil for years.
General discussion about Breville's product reputation
Breville, for Mez are like walking into a restaurant that has a ten page menu including English, American, Chinese and Italian food.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Exploration of alternative uses for the panini press
Two cast iron skillets work well too.
Cast iron skillet + foil brick is all you ever need to make a great pressed sandwich.
I think it's a waste. I always have two pans heating at once for a panini.
use the griddle as a burner on a stovetop.

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on teflon safety and performance
Only issue w/ teflon is shitty searing and have to use wood/plastic utensils. All these should not be an issue for sandwhich making.
Comparison of Breville with other brands
I have always turned to Breville for most of my tabletop household appliances, but I started digging myself into a rabbit hole of who makes the best press grill / griddle.
If you want a decent press get a used commercial panini press, all the cheap commercial ones (foreman, breville, dehlongi etc) are the same and generally suck
seems to be made from very good quality materials!
Discussion about removable plates for easier cleaning
They’re so easy to clean.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about reliability of panini grills in commercial settings
we are having extremely bad luck with our panini grills these past couple of years.
Have a way to toast the bread.
a foreman grille or panini press is probably much more energy efficient.
Caution about product reviews
I am looking at Breville's and I am hoping to find more info online because I am cautious about the reviews on their website and Amazon's.
Discussion on the cultural significance of toasties in Australia and New Zealand
No more sticking at all! My toasties cooked perfectly, and I still got that nice buttery crisp on the bread.
My time to shine!
If it's sealed around the edges it's a jaffle. If it's unsealed, it's a toastie.
Wait, if it’s unsealed isn’t it just a grilled sandwich, like a grilled cheese that’s made in a pan? Am I missing something?
Discussion about the cultural significance of brevilles in Australia
Breviilles, stobie poles, bathers and long vowel sounds for life!!!
the Heinz spaghetti & a slice of plastic cheese always hit the perfect spot!
Calling them Brevilles has been slowly getting phased out, toastie definitely seems more common these days.
Breviilles, stobie poles, bathers and long vowel sounds for life!!!
