What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Ideal for smaller trailers
it's pretty ideal for a smaller trailer like what you can comfortably tow with a GX.
I've heard they only work well for smaller trailers.
Effective sway control
E-qual-izer is a great hitch. No doubt one has saved me from disaster in a bad wind gust, more than once.
I get zero sway.
I absolutely love mine.
Andersen hitch Does anyone have experience with one of those new Andersen load distribution hitches
Highly recommended by users
I'll never get anything but an Anderson
Provides better control and damping sway
I am expecting the WDH to give me slightly better control as well as damping sway.
Tows heavy loads effectively
I drive 60 most of the time and don't even know it's back there, even when passed by semi.
Improves towing experience with trailers
I practically didn't even know it was there. It towed so smoothly, best investment I made in that trailer.
My 32 ft trailer towed beautifully on calm days, with a weight distribution hitch.
Lightweight and easy to use
Is the Andersen a damn good hitch and a good value?.... Absolutely.
It's a good deal, and cheaper overall.
Andersen is sweet, in my experience. Light, easy, works well.
Andersen is great. I use it on my 24’. Easy to set up and quiet.
Highly portable for setup
I’m a mid-size (lol) woman and my daughter and I need to be able to hitch and go on our own.
Faster to remove compared to competitors
It s faster to remove, no disgusting grease, and the anti sway system is much better than the E2.
Simplicity and effectiveness
I love the simplicity, it works as intended, and I have zero complaints.
Grease-free operation
The BO is easier to use, cleaner (no grease), and almost silent.

Knockoff products lead to failures
PSA - Don't Buy the Kuafu "Anderson" Weight Distribution Hitch. Catastrophic Failure.
there is a reason this knock off is 1/4 the price of the real thing.
Buy Nice or Buy Twice.
Fractured face indicates poor quality
The picture of the fractured face looks like there are voids in the casting.
Concerns over reliability based on reviews
Was actually another review from someone who fared worse than me. 🫣
Best Weight Distribution Hitch for Sway Control I know this question has been asked dozens of times
Concerns over noise after extended use
But it’s definitely not quiet 😂
I dont hear it unless I have windows down.
But ultimately, the noise doesn’t bother me.
Not recommended for unibody vehicles unless specified by the manufacturer
WDH aren’t generally recommended for unibody vehicles, like the Highlander, unless the manufacturer states they can be used.
Concerns about frame integrity with improper use
a WDH is not recommended unless yours have the larger frame beams. Otherwise it could lead to a broken frame.
Needs correct installation for optimal performance
The E2 hitch is superior. Just make sure it's installed correctly.
Porpoising control not effective
Sway control is okay, but up/down damping (porpoising) is not good.
Too stiff of bars can damage trailer a-frame
Biggest problem is that it only comes with 1000lb bars, where smaller trailers will be better served with lighter weight bars.
Concerns over reliability and safety of cheaper hitches
It’s a harbor freight hitch. Have when the ball snaps off and your relying on your safety chains 👍

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Various hitch options mentioned without brand bias
they basically all do the same thing at the end of the day.
Again you just raise the trailer (to take off the tension), slide the bars into place and insert the pins, then lower the trailer. Boom; done!
Weigh safe…primarily because it can adapt to multiple trailers:vehicles easily.
Dealer recommended the Blue Ox Sway Pro when I bought my ‘22 Transcend and I didn’t argue.
Discussion about the need for weight distribution hitches
Been towing for three years with the weight distribution hitch and I'm thinking about getting one of the 7k Glyder torsion flex hitches by Gen Y.
The weight distribution set up I have I inherited with the trailer from the father-in-law and it's definitely seen better days.
Discussion on the necessity of weight distribution for heavier trailers
The WD part is very necessary for any heavier trailer but the anti-sway may or may not be.

Discussion of hitch preferences and experiences
I have no plans to go bigger. I get a little movement now and then, but nothing white knuckle.
You can have my Equalizer hitch when you use that special hook tool to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
I still find it easier to lock the ball and jack the hitch up and down to get the bar on, than to use the special tool.
It lifts the back of the vehicle and trailer so that the spring bars just swing in with zero effort.
Discussion about various towing techniques and experiences
Since you have a Highlander, pay attention to your payload capacity as the tongue weight is like 400-500 for the Dawn I think.
I love that I dont hear em or having em limit me on rough forest roads and whatnot.

Trailer brakes are a must!

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about lubrication affecting noise
I don't know if the WD40 was a problem but it certainly didn't help.
User experiences with different hitches
I notice it slightly when being passed by a semi on the highway but it is negligible.
