Snoop's Take

The VEVOR Sway Control Weight Distribution Hitch is designed to enhance towing stability by redistributing weight across the vehicle's axles and preventing swaying during transport. With a robust capacity of 1,500 lbs and advanced features like a Four-Way Dynamic Stability System, this hitch ensures a secure and smooth towing experience even in challenging conditions. Consumer feedback highlights the ease of use and adjustment, with users noting that "it has worked fine and is easily adjustable" and appreciating the significant reduction in swaying while towing. Many users also express satisfaction with the improved ride quality, stating that "you can barely tell you are towing a giant trailer with the WDH." However, some concerns have been raised regarding the noise during turns and the reliability of VEVOR's customer service, with one user recommending to "not buy directly from VEVOR." Overall, despite some mixed reviews regarding noise and customer service, the VEVOR Sway Control Weight Distribution Hitch is recommended for those seeking an effective solution for weight distribution and towing stability. Its strengths in performance and user-friendliness make it a solid choice in its category.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Easy to adjust and use
It has worked fine and is easily adjustable.
E-qual-izer is a great hitch.
Very important to know the correct way to distribute weight when towing.
Creaking sound when using weight-distribution hitch.
Helps prevent swaying during towing
Weight distribution hitches can make some awful sounds but it's normal.
I'm very happy with the Track Pro. It pulls STRAIGHT even at highway speeds with trucks passing.
Set up took a minute to get right, but it’s done a fantastic job hauling our TT.
If they are equal it is set up correctly.
Improved ride and handling with WDH
the ride is so much better with them.
you can barely tell you are towing a giant trailer with the WDH.
I could tell the difference in the ride and the handling.
the WDH anti-sway bars worth about $60,000, since they probably saved my truck and my trailer.
Significantly enhances towing stability
With a WDH, it should be forcing 300-400 pounds to stay on the front.
Helps keep towing system balanced and stable
Ideally you'll be level with a properly set up wdh.
if you add a leveler that also has sway control, you will never know it's back there.
Enhances steering authority and handling
Do yourself a favor and get one with sway control built in to keep that thing under control.
without the WDH, you don't have the maximum towing capacity.

Can be noisy when turning at first
Every time I see a tt coming into a campground, wild noises are coming from it.
Doesn't matter what hitch the creaking, popping, snapping noises while towing are always fun.
It’s a harbor freight hitch. Have when the ball snaps off and your relying on your safety chains 👍.
Another vote for the Equal-i-zer.
Concerns about VEVOR's quality and safety
Do NOT go cheap on your hitch.
I would almost tow without a WDH before I tried an off brand.
the Vevor brand looks like some mass reseller of a lot of different tools of Chinese origin.
Requires proper setup for optimal performance
Even if below it'll help level your truck level out.
You're wise to not trust the dealership, once the purchase is made most won't put too much effort into your needs.
Customer service is unreliable
Don't buy directly from VEVOR - buy from a seller on amazon or ebay.
What is there to check, Vevor sent the wrong item, send me now the correct item...
Customer service is a nightmare.
Quality concerns about tools
He was unfortunately decapitated by his new Vevor planer :(
I certainly wouldn't call this place a scam, they have been around a long time. But maybe not a high end product place.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Comments on noise reduction over time with different hitches
The noise goes mostly away by year 2.
But it’s definitely not quiet 😂
I dont hear it unless I have windows down.
But ultimately, the noise doesn’t bother me.
Comparisons of hitch effectiveness with different trailer weights
It works with both setups. As others have said it quiets down after a couple of years, but at first you’ll want to put it out of its misery.
Insights on upgrading to heavier sway bars
The blue ox is awesome.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on choosing weight distribution hitches based on ease of use and adaptability
they basically all do the same thing at the end of the day.
I’ve gotten comments in campgrounds from folks who became envious when they saw me hookup; because of how stupid easy it is.
Weigh safe…primarily because it can adapt to multiple trailers:vehicles easily.
Discussion on lubrication for noise reduction
It is not a lube. It is a penetrating oil so it's good for things like door hinges.
That might have been too thin of a lube.
Discussion on purchasing used hitches as alternatives
I picked up a MINT condition, barely used Blue OX with 4 point sway control which retails for almost $1000CAD for $400CAD locally.
I got my Blue Ox Swaypro of of Facebook marketplace for $95. Used once.
Discussion on the necessity of a weight distribution hitch
Do I need a weight distribution hitch?
Okay so I should be good for the rest of the year basically or for shorter trips.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about leveling trailer with hitch adjustments
Am I good and overthinking it?
Therefore, to level out the trailer front to back, I’d move the hitch up a notch on the shank.
Kind of a test it and see.
Honestly it looks pretty good.
Concerns about trailer weight and stability
We definitely want anti-sway in our WDH and we're looking at a few different hitches.
I’m guessing it hadn’t been lubed in a very long time.
Concerns about towing speed and safety
Don’t expect to be pushing 65+ mph but at or below that and you’ll be fine.
Concerns about towing without a weight distribution hitch
I would highly recommend a sway bar if you don’t have one.
