Recalled blades due to safety concerns
Cuisinart is recalling 8 million food processor blades. They can break apart and end up in your food.
Holy shit - just checked mine and the blades are cracked on the bottom.
This is for any blade with 4 stainless rivets. I just went through the website and they'll send you a replacement in the mail.
Did you go to the Cuisinart website and enter in all your information on the recall page just to be sure? I'd contact customer support (if you can get through) and demand one anyway, even if it isn't.
Blades recalled due to safety concerns
I had one crack into pieces and fly apart while using it.
Difficulty with blade assembly and use for smaller batches
In reality, I am sure either would be fine, but I am paralyzed with indecision.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about the number of blades included with Costco model
The Costco one contains a bunch of blades you will never use and either annoy you or you will lose them.
Discussion about blade clearance improving food incorporation
the low clearance helps drag the food along and mixes everything without leaving food unincorporated in the bottom of the bowl.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Suggestions for food processor control panel covers
The only handle I see on any food processor model is on the bowl, not on the machine.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Stainless steel options available from other brands
If you've got cash to burn Robot Coupe makes food processors with stainless steel working bowls.
Discussion about finding replacement parts
You can buy replacement bowls.
In particular I replaced the bowl and push down part.
Did you find yours just on eBay or through Cuisinart?
Recommendation of the 14 cup Anniversary Edition based on long-term use
Despite it's name it's the same machine as the 14 cup Anniversary Edition and the Custom 14 processors.
User comparison between Cuisinart and Vitamix products
That’s how I now feel about the Cuisinart Custom 14 compared to every other food processor I’ve used, including the Vitamix Food Processor Attachment.
The Cuisinart is a tool engineered from the ground up to be an outstanding food processor and it shows.
Comparative experiences with other brands
I've had my Kitchenaid one for 12ish years now and it's held up fine in the dishwasher, both upper and lower rack.
Comparison with Breville's design and price
The Cuisinart is pretty good and is definitely a good value for the relatively low price.
Concerns about cleanliness of used food processors
that gunk will be Stranger Gunk which is somehow always a bit worse.
if they couldn’t clean their old one to a standard she was happy with I don’t see how they’ll be able to get a used one from someone else in acceptable condition.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Cuisinart models generally praised for quality
I've heard solid praises for the Cuisinart models, especially the [Prep 11 Plus], and also the [KitchenAid 13-cup models], but I'm still unsure about which one to pick.
Concerns about glass food processor bowls
I could just see a glass food processor bowl being unbelievably dangerous.
A glass food processor would be very dangerous. Minimizing plastic makes sense but this isn’t the place to start.
Plastic is like lead, asbestos & Teflon used to be — Lead in paint? Asbestos in popcorn ceilings? Teflon cookware? Stop worrying!
Discussion of recall affecting older models
I did finally get into the site, and lo and behold - my version doesn't have rivets. Wrong model number, and not included on the recall.
General commentary on product reliability and safety
Buy it for death!
Cuisinart food processors have a strong reputation
Found a cuisinart 11-cup food processor and a Wagner skillet for 70 bucks.
Negative experience with other brands
Sad thing they don't sell those in Europe. I bought a KitchenAid food processor. What a piece of shit.
Long-lasting performance of older Cuisinart models
Mine has gone though almost 40 years of. Heated dry cycles unscathed.
Discussion of older Cuisinart models' durability
The old, original Cuisinart processors were made by Robot Coupe.
Positive experience with vintage Cuisinart models
Couldn’t be happier! A fine machine!!!
