Snoop's Take

Nora's Nursery Baby Cloth Pocket Diapers Inserts are designed to provide absorbent and comfortable solutions for parents using cloth diapers. These inserts come in a convenient 10-pack, suitable for babies from newborn to toddler stages, and are compatible with most pocket cloth diapers. Consumer sentiment shows strong appreciation for the product's comfort and versatility, with many users noting that "the fit is pretty much the same as Alva" and highlighting their durability through multiple uses. However, some users have reported issues with leaks, stating, "Nora's nursery leaks all the time," which indicates mixed experiences regarding overall performance. Considering the feedback, while many parents enjoy the comfort and durability of Nora's inserts, potential buyers should be aware of the leaking concerns raised by some users. Therefore, it may be advisable to explore options and reviews further to ensure the best fit for your needs.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Comfortable fit in cloth diapers
The fit is pretty much the same as Alva.
I would get Norah’s nursery if I were buying again.
You can still use gloves if that helps you—I sometimes do when dealing with a particularly dirty diaper.
Absorbent for heavy wetters
Disposables are 10000000x grosser.
Great fit for cloth diapers
I LOVE the pockets.
I've only noticed some minor wear/stretching near the pocket stuffing area.
Durable for multiple uses
On baby number 2 with our Nora's and they've all held up admirably.
Convenient and fun patterns
I have a lot of Nora’s nursery (probably 15 ish?) and I like them a lot!
Durable for multiple babies
They've held up great for us. I have no complaints.
Durable for long-term use
So about a year, and they’ve held up great.
I used Nora’s for a year and a half with my first who is now potty trained, and I plan to use them with my second (due any day now,) once he is big enough for them.
Great for varying insert types
Diapers are holding up fine.
Versatile use with different inserts
I need suggestions on what to replace my Nora's Nursery inserts with.
It does add a little bulk in the front compared to the NN inserts but it doesn't bother me really - I have a boy so the extra front bulk helps with pee.
I just pad fold and put it in. If I want extra absorbency I add a hemp booster, also from GMD.
Better absorbency with bamboo layers
The inserts that come with NN diapers have better absorbency because of the bamboo layers!
Great prints available
they have plenty of solids and so many prints, you can find some you like.
What you're paying for with NN is their prints.
Great customer service
Their customer service is amazing.
Solid colors are appealing
We have Nora’s Nursery, Alvas, and Simple Being. I reach for the Nora’s Nursery diapers first because I love the solid colors and they fit my baby great.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Frequent leaks with Nora's inserts
Nora's nursery leaks all the time.
I’d snap down the rise and double up on inserts.
We also always had leaks with Nora’s though.
Since around 3-4 months my baby uses either 1 small prefold with a hemp booster or 1 Nora's insert with one cotton insert from GMD and that holds him for about 2-3 hours depending on day.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Desire for alternatives to pocket diapers
I have them and just wish I had tried other things before stocking up on so many, it would be nice to have stuff that isn't pocket diapers.
My son is 13 months and 24 inches tall and weighs 22 pounds and they’re both too small for them.
Discussion on absorbency upgrades
the NN inserts claim to be bamboo but they’re actually a bamboo and microfiber combo.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Use of different inserts with Nora's
They work waaaaay better than the inserts that come with them, and they have a million other uses.
Use with prefolds for daytime
We've had great success and honestly minimal leaking (I think we've had 2 blowouts and they were because she was still too small for the diapers! At 11-12lbs she'd be fine) with Nora's and Alva.
Advice on using prefolds with Nora's
We use small size osocozy prefolds and they work great for us.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Interchangeability with other brands
We’ve been using a mix of NN and AB for about six months now and have found them pretty interchangeable.
I am a FTM and also new to cloth diapering. I have not started yet, baby is almost 2 months old and I’ve been using disposables so far but want to start cloth diapering soon.
change every 2 hours unless it's obviously drenched or pooped.
I recommend investing in some cotton simply because cotton is so easy to clean and very forgiving.
Comparison to other brands
They wash better, are stretchier, seem comfier and have snapped on liners.
Comparisons with other brands
Microfiber inserts are trash we bought green mountain cotton inserts and use those.
I agree with other comments that it’s worth upgrading the inserts - I bought enough to replace 1 of 2 inserts with AMP hemp inserts and I liked this combo a lot!
Similarities with other brands
We started with the mix of Nora's and wegreeco at 3 months and never looked back.
They are.... Fine. they did not leak for us and gave us 2 hours between changes.
Discussion on alternatives to Nora's inserts
They are a little bulkier but super absorbent
Green mountain diapers flats or prefolds!
they have been the best for my heavy wetter.
Discussion about using multiple brands
They seem Similar to me
Anticipation of using Nora's for a newborn
Going straight to Noras with my son, due in August, after we get over the haze and craze of newborn life, and I’m anticipating purchasing another set (or two) of 7 if and when they have another Prime Day sale this summer.
Need for variety in diaper types
They look awesome but the price seems too good to be true.
I’ve personally found in my stash that I need a variety of types diapers to get what I’m looking for.
Comparison of fit across different brands
The no tag Winco diapers are surprisingly amazing for my skinny little girl.
Similarities to Alva diapers
Ok so I love both alvas and Nora’s nursery and I did not know they were produced in the same factory.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Perceptions about the cleanliness of pocket diapers
Help me see the bigger picture from experienced parents pov.
You are misinformed about pockets.
Loved our system super easy to use, wash, clean & decently affordable.
They are so easy and take all the guesswork out of cloth diapering.
Discussion on longevity and performance of covers
they are economical. But I don’t hear much about them, which could be a sign that maybe they aren’t worth it…
