Snoop's Take

The Pixie Menstrual Cup Kit is a comprehensive set designed to facilitate a smoother transition to menstrual cup usage. Made from 100% medical-grade silicone, this kit includes two sizes of cups, lubricant, wash, sterilizing cup, and wipe samples, making it an ideal starter kit for anyone looking to ditch traditional tampons. Many users appreciate the helpful lubricant for easier insertion, with one saying, "the kit I bought came with a lubricant, so that was really helpful with making insertion easier," while others highlight its effectiveness as a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to tampons, noting that it holds 3-4 tampons worth of fluid and lasts up to 10 years. Despite some initial challenges reported by users regarding insertion and comfort, including comments like "that thing is HUGE," the overall sentiment leans towards a positive experience, especially with the product's commitment to donating cups to those in need. The product’s strong customer service backing and 100% satisfaction guarantee further endorse its reliability. Based on the feedback from users, the Pixie Menstrual Cup Kit is recommended as a valuable option for those considering menstrual cups as a healthier and more sustainable menstrual product.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Helpful lubricant included for easier insertion
Plus the kit I bought came with a lubricant, so that was really helpful with making insertion easier.
Mum just bought me a menstrual cup... Thanks... But umm.... Thanks?
Cost-effective long-term solution compared to tampons
If you’re thinking about using a menstrual cup … Do it.
This is what changed the game for me.
Includes two cup sizes for different flow levels
It’s an ok cup to start with.
Sustainable and body-friendly option
they seemed the most sustainable and body friendly, plus they provide individuals who don’t have easy access to menstrual products free cups for every cup purchased, so they passed the vibe check for me.
Superior to tampons in preventing leaks
Very superior to tampons.
I was constantly worried about leaks.
Effective cleaning tips for menstrual cups
TLDR; thought my cup had natural staining, but it turns out it was period gunk build up.
I'd be hesitant recommending brushes unless they are soft toothbrush kind- even a small scratch would make for a bacteria paradise.
Yeah, I might start incorporating a vinegar soak after I sterilize.
I have never let a cup get to that level of staining, once it starts to really be noticeable I dunk it in hydrogen peroxide.
Good firmness and size for shorter canals
it’s a good in between firmness and it’s a little squatter which is good for my short canal.
Donation policy supports women in need
When you buy one of our cups we donate a menstrual cup to a woman in need.
Effective pull tab design for easy removal
Anybody else tried a Pixie Cup? I bought this on amazon, is this cup legit? I’ve seen that some bran
I felt more confident with the low cost and interesting design of their pull tab. I never feel like it’ll get stuck or anything.
Outstanding customer service with satisfaction guarantee
I'm super happy with that brand - especially their outstanding customer services.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Difficulty with insertion and slight discomfort
That thing is HUGE.
the material is overall so much softer than Pixie imo, and the rim is thinner too.
it took me about 3 cycles just to learn to insert and take it out.
The weird part is my first cycle trying the cups I had no issues.
Difficulty with insertion and discomfort reported
if you feel like you need to pee when you insert it for that long - chances are the cup is too stiff for you.
Difficulty with insertion and getting the cup to pop open
Cups are awesome, you just have to find the one that’s right for you.
Intimidating to use initially
A total win in my book!
Difficulty with removal reported
I found the flexcups to be great because they have a loop at the end and when you pull on it, it breaks the suction seal by pulling on the rim of the cup.
Extremely uncomfortable for some users
Extremely uncomfortable for me. Im not digging with my THUMB and INDEX finger with my *1 inch stilleto nails* into my dry vagina to insert it or break the seal.
The cup also didn’t work for me, I found it extremely uncomfortable and painful, and I won’t put myself through additional discomfort and pain during my period by wearing one.
The 3rd (it was a disc type) I got IN, but couldn't get out by myself.
You just push it up, dry. It feels horrible.
Difficulty with insertion and removal
The number of people who have tried to proselytize menstrual cups, in particular, to me, is wild.
Tampons should not be flushed as they block pipes.
Concerns about religious affiliations and Bible verses
Apparently in their newer cups they're printing Bible verses on the inside... not the entire verse, but the book:chapter:verse deal.
I like mine, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not like I can’t find another perfectly fine alternative.
Questions about FDA registration and safety
I wonder why Pixie cups are specifically mentioned in the “buyer beware” section in the above article?
Minor spotting and leaking during learning curve
I’m thinking my pelvic floor is relatively strong. Bleh... our changing bodies. LOL.
Concerns about quality and trust in the product
I later found out it was a china cheapie cup, so I didn't feel comfortable using it anymore.

Inquiry about product design variations
I was thinking of buying a pixie disc which seems like a unique design to me?
Discussion on menstrual product capacity
I really want a solution for this... I don't want to use tampons - and honestly with all these changes I don't think it would make a difference with my flow being how it is at the moment.
My current favorite is the Venus Cup, size L. It holds ~38 ml to the air holes and 47 ml to the rim.
I am going by what is written inside the cup itself.
Most cups will have the full capacity listed in their product descriptions on their website and/or included with the packaging.
Curiosity about company practices and product details
Hmm. I wonder. Thanks for the info. Very curious stuff.

I don't like white label brands personally because it is just a case of borrowed design.

I'd rather not financially support so I'd like to hear back your experience with other brands.
If you like the Pixie steamer but just don't want to support the company, you can buy the unbranded version of the same steamer off AliExpress.
There's a Bible verse inscribed inside my new Pixie cup and I'm not impressed.
