Snoop's Take

The Ultra Grind+ Gold 2 Liter Table Top Wet Grinder is designed for making authentic Indian cuisine by efficiently grinding rice and dal. With a powerful 150 Watts motor and a 2.0L capacity, it is perfect for producing fluffy idlis and crispy dosas, making it an essential tool for any home cook seeking to recreate traditional recipes. Consumer feedback highlights the grinder's exceptional performance, especially in grinding rice and dal. Users have praised its ability to produce fluffy idlis, with one stating, "Yep, I've had one for over 5 years now and works like magic." However, some have noted that the grinder is not suitable for all tasks, such as grinding chocolate or fine masa for tortillas, and issues with frequent stopping have also been reported. Overall, the Ultra Grind+ Gold is highly recommended for its primary function of grinding rice and dal, despite some limitations for other uses. Its durability and effectiveness in making traditional dishes make it a worthwhile investment for those in need of a reliable wet grinder for Indian cooking.

It will take a lot of work. The grind will not be as fine as something like a Molinito, but it will still make very good tortillas.
Well said and my thoughts too.
Grinder stops frequently
This grinder keeps stopping every 5 to 10 mins, even if the quantity is small.

The long-distance camera on the s23 ultra is pathetic, not clear enough, and it uses Ai to make it clear but looks like a 5 year old fixing a photo but actually makes it worse.

Discussion on using wet grinders for tortillas
Your experience has persuaded me against the wet grinder; the notion of a longer cook time for an easier grind is also something I'd really like to experiment with.
I use one of the premier melangers for chocolate, which are very similar to their wet grinders.
I’d expect that’s a lot finer than you need so from that angle you may be set, but I can’t attest to how they handle grinding corn.
It takes 40 minutes of scraping every now and then, adding water to yield a too-wet masa one dries with a bit of masa harina.
Discussion about using wet grinders versus food processors
Idli/Dosa Wet Grinder or Food Processor? I want to try making my own batter as i already make sourdough and many other fermentables.
I would suggest the Indian style 'mixer/grinder' that most Indian household's use to make batters, before commiting to a single-purpose appliance like the wet grinder.
Now I have a Vitamix and she's quite happy with the results.
The problem with a food processor is that it takes too long to make a reasonably fine paste of rice.

Elgi or Panasonic.
Discussion about the best tool for dosa batter
You need a stone grinder and not a blade grinder to get the best results.. This is the best
A blender is a distant second best for making dosa batter. What you really want is a wet grinder, like the Ultra.

User experience with upgrading from Elgi Ultra
if Samsung is starting to play it ultra safe with innovation and technological advancement, then maybe it’s not worth committing another X number of years to another Samsung phone.
Discussion on the differences between wet grinders and other blenders
Wet" grinder compared to other grinders/blenders I have a Vitamix blender, Cuisineart Spice and nut grinder, Braun Handheld blender stick, and a Kitchen aid food processor.
I have a wet grinder and I use it for making smooth nut butters, tahini, nutella, and from-scratch chocolate (this being the actual reason I bought it, as it's the cheapest way to do bean to bar chocolate).
Yeah, I think it is accurate to think of a wet grinder as similar to using a mortar and pestle for a *really* long time! However you might not often use them for the same tasks, regardless.
It’s not about power - the vitamix is definitely way more powerful. But the shearing action of the grinder leads to a different end product.
