Does anybody use a flexible shaft on a die grinder? My Metabo has one as an optional (and extremely expensive) accessory, but I’m seeking advice before I think about purchasing.
They are different tools with different purposes. The die grinder (especially variable speed) is great for most things but is very cumbersome for delicate work and fine manipulation.
Wet concrete...
Wet polisher is effective for stone shaping
they do get the job done.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on using water in setups
Really fucks me up with trouble shooting when I fat finger the wrong /min rate.
Been fighting with what are 2 almost identical setups, one that recycles fine and the other doesn’t.
It has failed me a few times however and I didn't understand why clearly enough to guarantee that it won't happen again.
I notice water backup problems every now and then, especially when the refineries are fully OC'd (huge water output spikes by the scraps).
Comment on the quirky display image of the product
No idea why their display picture of it though is of the backside of the machine 😆 how silly.
Discussion about manual tile cutters versus wet saws
I’d like to purchase an inexpensive but decent 48” manual tile cutter for this job.
I want a manual cutter as they’re faster, can cut right next to where you work and you get to avoid cleaning up the mess of the wet saw.
Sigma is best but dont get one unless you are going to use it all the time.
You can pick them up on Amazon all day long for a couple hundred bucks.
Discussions on different types of tools for stone work
I now use cordless tools as they are light and portable. Now I can carve anywhere!
Discussion about various grinding equipment
Other options are the belt sander. Any ideas on what equipment will be the most versatile for the money.
I have shaped many rocks with a dry bench grinder - no water. I already had it and have hardly used it for other things.
So far? I think I'll save up more for a good wet polisher. A lot better than the dremel for larger rocks.
Speculation on Vevor products being rebadged versions of other brands
I have suspected for a long time that Meat! Grinders are just rebadged Vevord but have no evidence to support that except for how similarly shaped many of the parts are.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on using wet grinders for tortillas
I've used a vitamix, both pureeing (grinding in liquid) and dry grinding; pureeing requires adding a lot of masa harina and/or dehydrating in an oven post-grind; going the dry route (by adding in some masa harina to the blender before grinding) still yields dough that is too coarse.
You can get delicious tortillas out of an Indian wet grinder. It will take a lot of work.
I now cook the corn for ~20 minutes for my Molinito. In the past I would cook for ~1 hour to get it soft enough.
I have been pressure cooking for 15 minutes, yellow olotillo, 200 or 300g dry corn at a time, with a ~2-3 hour soak.
Discussion about mixer-grinder capabilities for Indian recipes
Best Mixer/Grinder for Indian Food in US? I have trouble getting good gravy, masale, and chutney con
Never had an issue in some 5 years or so that we used it.
Is that strong enough for idly/dosa batter ?
Is it strong enough for dry masala like cinnamon sticks, etc?
Discussion about using flexible shafts with different grinders
My impression is that a die grinder is much more useful for larger stones but probably not as much for small ones, but as I've said I haven't used one so I'm not really sure.
Try an angle grinder from Harbor Freight and see how it works for you.
Discussion about using the polisher for diverse projects
He used the woodoo hide.
Dude has the better jerked chicken bbq on the block.
Lots of experience and a little elbow grease.
Discussion about using a Vevor grinder for raw dog food
it is too small for bone
Discussion about modding tools for specific tasks
I've been looking around at advice for lapidary too.

Concerns about buying Chinese tools online
But that is a lot to drop on a chinese tool ordered on the Internet.
Discussion on upgrading to a better grinder
I bought a Vevor 2 x 72 belt grinder.. I just ordered a Vevor 2 x 72 belt grinder

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about different types of sandwiches
a very wet grinder sandwich ingredients for sandwich
As someone from Connecticut it’s always so weird to see the term “grinder sandwich.” It’s like saying a hoagie sandwich or atm machine.
I used to have a Panamanian roommate who was super sexually promiscuous.
The only thing I like better than a sloppy wet grinder is a sandwich.
Discussion on the importance of safety gear when using concrete tools
That's a good way to get chemical burns. Wet concrete loves to eat skin.
Feedback on Vevor's reputation compared to competitors
The quality is just superior to every other brand of grinder I’ve seen, especially cabelas grinders.
