Snoop's Take

The Cuisinart 5-Cup Coffeemaker with Stainless Steel Carafe, DCC-5570NAS, is a compact and efficient coffee-making device designed for those who appreciate a fresh pot of coffee every morning. With its user-friendly features like a dripless pour spout and Brew Pause functionality, it promises convenience without occupying much counter space. Consumer sentiment is largely positive, highlighting the product's great value and all-in-one setup. As one user noted, "for those who are looking for a standard drip coffee machine at a moderate price-point, I think this is a great option." However, some feedback indicates issues with the LCD display and cleaning difficulties, suggesting that while many users are satisfied, a few have faced challenges with recent models. Overall, the Cuisinart 5-Cup Coffeemaker is recommended for those seeking a reliable and budget-friendly coffee maker, as long as potential quality inconsistencies are taken into account.

Positive Feedback

The thing ran like a champ for over a decade so it doesn’t owe me anything, but I’d love to understand whats wrong with it.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Great value for a moderate price-point coffee maker

Yes, the Technivorm is better. It’s also four times the price. Yes, I know your Chemex, Aeropress, french press, etc. is more durable. But for those who are looking for a standard drip coffee machine at a moderate price-point, I think this is a great option.
We’ve had our Cuisinart coffee maker for 15 years and it works great. There are better (and worse) ways to make coffee but I dig setting mine up before bed and waking up to a kitchen bathed in the aroma of a fresh pot every morning.
I want to buy a bun but I own this and it hasn’t given me an excuse to replace it for about ten years.
Convenient all-in-one setup
Other than the convenience of the all-in-one setup, we can’t stand it.
I have had mine since 2016 and LOVE.
Long-lasting satisfaction with the product
I had one for years and loved it!.

LCD display malfunction within a short period of use

Just bought this coffee maker 3 months. I woke up this morning and the lcd display is showing half numbers.
Cuisinart espresso machines are considered low quality
Cuisinart doesn't make a quality espresso machine.
I had a Cuisinart Espresso machine and it was nothing but trouble. Junk.
Lower build quality in recent models
I’ve bought some Cuisanart items in the past few years that are clearly the EXACT same as their Amazon random Chinese company counterparts, maybe even lower build quality at times too.
Cuisinart has been pretty bad for years.
Coffee temperature issues
Overall, I’m really disappointed with the decline in quality.
Complicated to control with smart devices
A smart plug won't solve it; even if power is on, a button on my machine needs to be pressed.
On the downside, my GF replace the cheap Mr Coffee with a Cuisinart, and there went my telling Alexa to make coffee in the morning.
My alarm would go off, I would tell Alexa to Start My Day and it would turn up the heat, turn on the coffee pot, set an alarm for 15 minutes and I went back to sleep.
Potential safety issues with overheating
I could hear something boiling in the kitchen.

Suggestions for troubleshooting cleaning issues
Cleaning it would be a good start…
Remove the filter and pour water into that area, see if it's draining.
I would try a more aggressive descaler, my hypothesis is that the filter is getting harder for water to permeate.
Remove the filter basket holder and try cleaning out the drip hole.
Interest in coffee maker giveaway
Works well, just have upgraded.
That would brighten these dark mornings! I’m in SE and have a flexible schedule for pickup.
Also very interested, thanks for the great offer
Discussion about alternatives to Cuisinart for smart coffee making
Get an ultra basic Mr. Coffee with no timer, just an on/off switch and leave it on.
This is how I did mine as well. I set a timer on the wifi outlet to turn on at 5:30 and turn off at 11am.
I use a Switchbot for mine. It turns the Keurig on and gets the water heating at least.
Discussion on alternatives for better coffee quality
There are many options.
Discussion on alternatives to Cuisinart for single serve coffee makers
I just don't have the time to brew with a regular brewer every morning, and I have been drinking instant some days which is disgusting.
Buy a Clever dripper instead. It's mostly hands-off, single cup, and very easy to get great coffee.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Suggestions for troubleshooting malfunctioning LCD display
I've replaced numerous $50-$70 coffee makers. I've yet to replace our 4yo one with a simple on/off switch.
I'll try the hair dryer trick... It kinda makes sense or else I'll call the manufacturer.
Discussion on SCA certification for coffee makers
Keep it simple. Keep it SCA certified.
