Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Cultural differences in usage
I guess culturally it's used more for tea, to be poured into a cup/lid.
Long-lasting durability of products
Purchased it in 2014.
User experiences with various Zojirushi products
where the Zutto was much worse, the Zojirushi pots in general (from my experience) don't heat up enough for the brewing process.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about brewing methods and preferences
I just need something that can brew me a cup of black coffee on demand.
Clever Dripper. Pre heat it/rinse the paper first, put your ground coffee in after dumping the rinsewater, add your water, give it a stir.
Clever dripper is perfect for early mornings where brain cells are in desperate need of caffeine.
I even do hybrid brews, I bloom the coffee with the Clever closed, then set it on top of a carafe and do the rest of the brew as a normal pourover.

Request to mute the beep
Any way to mute the beep?
Discussion about comparing different brands
I like everything about it much more than the Moccamaster I had previously.
The bonavita was very frustrating to use.
That 'pour through' lid design is poor.
Experiences with maintenance and cleaning
I only did a cleaning once but I think that’s a reasonable range.
The lack of regular descaling impacted the flow rate and no amount of descaling fixed it.
Comparative advice on coffee makers
I would buy one from this list:

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Longevity of the coffee maker
If it ever gives up the ghost I’ll be buying another one in a heartbeat.
Concerns about bitter taste
I’m not a coffee snob but I don’t like bitter taste and have read some people think it is.
Adjustment issues with settings leading to under-extraction
Now it produces about 90ml of under extracted brown water instead of 60ml of properly extracted coffee and I get to waste a 100g of my specific expensive beans dialling it in again.
Put a piece of masking tape over the dial. ‘Cause they’re going to do this again.
Corruption coffee reference
Corruption coffee
Unexpected issues with coffee machine performance
My single serve coffee machine was not making a full cup, and was spitting water everywhere.
Oh my god, who knows how many times this happens at coffee places and restaurants.
Also it would have survived. lol
Accidental discoveries of leaks and issues
even when it leaked it still worked, although the hotplate auto-shutoff eventually failed (possibly due to the leak).
