Snoop's Take

The DXS Recsport 68 Caliber Paintballs are designed for paintball enthusiasts seeking reliable and high-performance ammunition for practice and gameplay. With a caliber of .68 and a vibrant orange fill, these paintballs promise durability and consistent performance in various weather conditions. Consumer sentiment surrounding the DXS paintballs highlights their affordability and effectiveness for practice, with users noting that they have experienced "zero issues" and appreciate the "good quality and consistency for practice." However, there are concerns regarding storage and shipping practices by Amazon, with some stating that they have encountered broken paint during transit. This inconsistency in quality from box to box has led to mixed reviews among buyers, leading to a cautious approach when purchasing online. Overall, despite some shipping challenges, the DXS Recsport 68 Caliber Paintballs are recommended for those looking for a cost-effective option for practice sessions, provided buyers are aware of potential shipping pitfalls.

Zero issues.

Positive Feedback

Amazon would be almost my last choice, they don't know how to store, pack, or ship paint, so you have the highest chance of getting some shitty paint.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Durable in tough conditions
Zero issues.
Anyone have a similar problem or know how to fix it.
Durable and long-lasting performance
there's nothing wrong with the gun, it will last you a long long time assuming you take care of it.
Good quality and consistency for practice
I only shoot draxxus/zap for practice paint and it’s actually really good, consistently round and chronos better than the the hk army paint the local paintball shop sells.
I've had good quality paint recently. I've had bad paint here and there... just like always.
I think that the best flight path / trajectory are those paintballs with a slightly harder shell but have a bit of a brittle factor and the two paints I recommended above are it.
No broken paint reported
And I bet not a single broken ball in that box still.
Affordable option for practice
honestly, that is how i could practice/play a lot of speedball.

Amazon mishandles paint storage and shipping
Amazon would be almost my last choice, they don't know how to store, pack, or ship paint, so you have the highest chance of getting some shitty paint.
Amazon is an awful source for paint. They have no clue how to properly store, handle, or ship it, and they don't care enough to get a clue.
What paintballs do y’all use? Title pretty much sums it up.
Inconsistent quality from local fields
the paint is super inconsistent, with flat spots and breaks and everything.
the stuff they have really isn't terrible and I can see how old the paint is by looking at the shipping label
Inconsistent quality from box to box
From box to box you might get great paint and it could be nearly unplayable.
Marker has performance issues
I'm a bit disappointed. :(
Frequent issues with broken paint during shipping
Getting paint shipped one case at a time is a crapshoot... You will likely get broken paint and the shipping cost will be so high that it won't be worth it...
I've never had good luck buying paintballs online. Paint almost always arrived broken in box because UPS would be rough with it.
Local brands perceived as better value
Personally, i think valken infinity is a good bang for buck.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Desire for a consistent paintball video game community
New paintball video game
God I just want one paintball game to mildly take off where I can play it consistently… like just 100-200 concurrent players and I’d be happy.
OG Greg Hastings servers were packed. So good.
Won’t have to wait long! People are hungry for this
Difference between competitive and scenario paintballs
Competitive is for tournaments- Thinner shell.
Discussion about the manufacturing of paintballs
Why do a lot of different paintball brands, all come in the same bag? I was doing some online shopping and looking around at different paint and such when I started to notice something funny.
The branding is on the cases and it’s cheaper to use the same bag. Also GI makes like 80% of the paint made.
Nope. There's only about 3-4 manufacturers of all of the paint, currently.
Many different brands are produced at the same plant by the same machine.
Discussion on past experiences with paintball gear
oh man did I love it
Interest in the removable mechanism tray feature
That's sweet. I always thought they were super cool when they came out with the removable mechanism tray.
Field paint can outperform premium paint
Anyone else have issues with the paint down there or was it just me?
I happened to get a pod full of my buddies premium paint and noticed the field paint was shooting way better than premium
it was wonderful. Clean breaks and straight shooting.
Discussion on shooting quality and brand reliability
xball brand paintballs are ok.
Mention of specific paintball brands
Check out valken graffiti or redemption, as well as dxs midnight or xball blaze.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Buying paintballs directly from shops is recommended
Ideally buying paint in person from a shop or field that gets its supply directly from a distributor or manufacturer.
I don't put that much stock in particular brands or grades of paint.
Only 3k air fills (which baffles the pro teams which occasionally roll through)
Price discussion for paintballs online
$43 sounds about standard for mid grade paint
I only pay about $5-10 more for premium paint than for 3 star / rec ball paint.
I get it for about $30 a case most of the time.
American paintball, Sunol, tag paintball, and USPN are your closes offerings.
Confusion about Delta Force's operational structure
Apparently they also operate under the name Optimum Paintball as well.
Curiosity about paintball prices and quality
The russian paint is awesome. I'd recommend giving it a try if you can.
And I was getting ball on ball accuracy at 30 yards.
Discussion about the quality of reviews on paintball fields
A one star review on a paintball field in Branson
The person that wrote this review also gave Wendy’s a 3/5 calling it “Tasty but pricey” so I think we know the caliber person we’re dealing with.
Discussion about maintenance oil for paintball guns
Sorry for deviating from the subject at hand. Oh and your previous review made me go from « that’s a pretty fucking cool marker, plus I’ve always wanted a paintball revolver » to « that’s it, I’m buying the damn thing ».
Every few weeks I'll remember to put a drop or two in before I put in my first CO2, as firing the marker gets the oil through the systems.
Discussion on local store paintball pricing
nice, thanks for sharing your experience! I do have a local dicks, and they had paint for $30 a case, but it did look like pretty cheap whitebox stuff.
My local sporting store sells empire hotbox at $35 a case, which is cheaper than most paint online and also saves the hassle of worrying about it getting in on time and breaks.
Question about availability of older paintball products
Wait they still make big ball?
Preference for local shop paintballs over online purchases
They work really well for woodsball but I was wondering if any has had any experience with these 3 other brands
Stop buying sports store paintballs
Discussion on price sensitivity for paintball purchases
I would honestly rather buy cheap paintballs and be able to go once or twice a month instead of buying expensive stuff and only being able to go once maybe every two months.
Advice on inspecting paint before purchase
Of those 3, choose Blaze. Since you have no other choice than to get it at Sports Authority, cut the box open and inspect the paint before buying.
Recommendations for local paintball purchases
Be sure your local field allows BYOP
Most paintball stores have them.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Concerns about Delta Force's reputation in the paintball community
Honestly, I've never heard if it, it might be more regional or local to you.
I feel like you do, the whole operation seems kinda scummy and profiting off newcomers naivety.
If paint is priced in order to make a killing off of the portion of rental players who buy another bag halfway through the day, the price will be murderous for an experienced player who may use several times as much paint as a rental player, but requires far less labor from the field.
Discussion about declining paint quality
I definitely believe that current low-end paint is horrible compared to 10-15 years ago.
Seems like any chance to cut costs have been taken since there is less incentive to make a competitive product.
Nostalgia and community connection in paintball
I look forward to possibly meeting you when the field reopens
Concerns about buying paint online and quality risks
Buying Paintballs... need help! Hello guys! I'm getting back into paintball this weekend and just bo
Any less and you're paying a lot for shipping as well as you're taking a major risk in the quality of your paint.
Don't buy paint online.
