Still awesome though that they want to support this platform.

Positive Feedback

Nothing they make have key features like adjustable velocities, removable barrels, or the ability to be cleaned on the field, all of which have been standard features on serious paintball guns since the late 1980s.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Excited about the new gear
Still awesome though that they want to support this platform.
Love it, can't wait to get one myself!
Reliable performance in various conditions
I think your r2 will do just fine.
Reliable performance without issues
Never had issues with them other than that day when it mattered most lol!
Old loaders still function well
Still worked just fine.
Reliable performance without jamming
If you tweak the torque screw...it won't jam and won't break paint either.
Loved the original prophecy design
I personally loved the original prophecy.
Peak reliability of the R2 loader
The R2 is peak reliability.
Paintballs can be accurate with the right equipment
Paintballs can be tack drivers out to a certain distance (150-200 ft) with the right equipment and paint.
Own equipment enhances enjoyment and saves money
Rental equipment is pretty much always going to be shitty, which means you're going to waste more ammo than you would with your own marker, which means you spend more money at the field.
Some guns do not chop paint
The new tipmann 98 is amazing for not chopping paint.
My spyder came with an e-trigger and it actually rarely chopped paint.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Umarex paintball markers lack key features
Nothing they make have key features like adjustable velocities, removable barrels, or the ability to be cleaned on the field, all of which have been standard features on serious paintball guns since the late 1980s.
Looking like a real firearm gives you no advantage at all.
Umarex paintball guns are considered novelties, not practical tools
The umarex line of paintball guns are more of a novelty rather than a usefull tool.
The umarex revolver is shit, stay away.
Limited ammunition capacity is a drawback
16 balls is not very many.
Heavy and ungainly compared to modern designs
A-5s are capable of flinging paint at rates that have to be seen to be believed, and that's just not kosher these days, so make sure to balance "awesome dakka" with "what your local field will allow".
Frequent neck breakages
Playing paintball, lol. The necks would either break off completely or crack, the battery tray would strip or break, one shell itself cracked, tore the entire lid “mount” off…a combination of those things.
Fragile plastic construction
I hated my qloader so much.
Some loaders struggle with higher BPS.
Spire loaders are good for 10.5, had a spire ir 2 and it wouldn't really keep up with 15 bps.
All modern loaders are slow except for the rotor.
PAL loader causes frequent chopping
When I played with pal it was chop city.
In my experience, not at all.
Paintball markers are heavy and cumbersome for elderly users.
So you're gonna give her a heavy gun that she has to fill with CO2 and paintballs filled with capsaicin? I still think a real gun with low recoil is the best way.
what exactly are you concerned about specifically regarding her hands and wrists? a paintball marker isn't much better than a .22 pistol in terms of recoil and it'll definitely be worse in terms of weight.
Paintball markers may not effectively stop an intruder.
I wouldn't trust it to anything other than a firearm.
Loading process is time-consuming
I don't use is much because it takes me long to time to load and it is just extra stuff to carry to the field.
Paintballs can fly inaccurately if stored improperly
Yeah but those will not fly straight at all.
Rental equipment is often unreliable
Rental guns are always crap. I've been to all of the local paintball fields and their rentals are crap no matter where you go.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Paintball is a personal enjoyment activity
What is the best Paintball marker? I am a beginner and I want to know what the best paintball marker is.
Discussion about finding a well-made pod loader
Pod loader I'm looking to either make, a buy a pod loader.
The work okay. Only real flaw is the 3d printed screws meant to puncture the box.
It’s cheap, well made, you go to the field and I can guarantee there’s at least three of these babies.
Discussion about barrel inserts and their necessity
It feels bad to miss easy kills when your aim doesn’t seem to be off.
If your gun comes with inserts, use them. If it doesn’t, spend your money on practicing rather than chasing 1-2% more better on equipment.
Paint quality is your first thing you want to hit though.
Overbore will give you best performance normally in your situation.
Discussion about finding a quality paintball loader
Loader elbow broke.
As a general recommendation, [ANSgear](http://www.ansgear.com) is the largest online retailer dedicated to paintball.
Discount paintball is legit
Discussion on switching to a lighter loader
Does the PAL loader keep up? I’ve got a halo loader on my emek, which obviously keeps up, but I was thinking about switching to a PAL loader to save weight if it can keep up.
General commentary on the evolution of paintball markers
Welcome to paintball as soon as you buy that gun you lose about 300-500 off of the value and with annual releases you basically lose 50% of the value every year except on the super high end guns such as Luxes and SL series egos they retain value pretty well.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on the q-loader's niche appeal
I don’t know enough about the q-loader to get the joke but I appreciate the effort of niche memes
Sure, it could feed really fast, but given the capacity of it that was kind of a moot point.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion about loader height comparison
What other loaders do you have to compare the height of it too? I love my Halo B V35 from the glory days but that thing sits way too tall for today’s game.
Discussion about different loader brands
Best force-fed loader? Hello ballers,
If you can find a N.O.S. Z2 they don't have ideal shells but load pretty quick.
Comparison of popular loader brands
The spire won't feed as fast as a Dye R2, but it will more than keep up with NXL 10.5 ramping and you won't be banging on your hopper trying to get it to feed.
ive had nothing but positive things to say about them
Discussion about paintball loader preferences
Looking for Loader Opinions I have purchased an empire prophecy and scion.
Discussion about loader recommendations
Loader recommendation What's a good loader for a stock invert mini? Tia
Rotor (any version), Spire IR. Tbh host of the name brand loaders are pretty solid from what I can tell.
Discussion about loader speed and competition.
I'm not concerned with all of the other QOL features, just ranking by speed.
Rotor is the fastest. It's the only one that's really trying to compete for speed.
Rotor or Rotor 2 are the fastest by a wide margin, they are about the same feedrate.
Discussion about alternatives to gravity loaders
I can't get over loss of control and vision from a gravity fed hopper.
The loss of "vision", however, is unavoidable unless you are willing to buy a stock class pump or mag fed.
Discussion on alternatives for home defense for elderly users.
Pepperballs for home defense? I will start by saying I have no experience with paintball.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Reviewer's credibility questioned due to unrelated rating
The person that wrote this review also gave Wendy’s a 3/5 calling it “Tasty but pricey” so I think we know the caliber person we’re dealing with.
This guy took the time to answer the question with giving the OP good guidance.
Discussion about loader reliability and paint breakage
New player here! I have recently obtained a spire 5 loader because, (from what I have read), it is considered the most reliable loader on the market.
Loaders breaking paint is actually really rare.
Nostalgia associated with using A5 markers
Loved them, despite the flaws of the A5, because it felt like being in a GI Joe cartoon running around the woods with them slinging lots of paint.
Nostalgic value of old loaders
I think it would be kinda cool to be able to have those old loaders brand new in box from an old retailer today.
Q-loaders have a niche appeal and vintage interest
It was a little quirky, but pre-rotor the fastest feed available.
Never had a problem, they retuned the spring so breaks weren't a problem and I actually used a halo hopper to fill the bod instead of their banana loader contraption.
Lack of visibility and use in recent years
i've seen quite a few q-loaders just not in the last 4 or so years
Discussion on nostalgia related to older equipment
it makes me miss the old days.
Bitches please. I used to play paintball before there were even fields for the purpose.
Discussion about paintball experiences over the years
I haven't paintballed in far too long.
I don't need full auto when I can shoot 2-3 ball bursts.
