Snoop's Take

The Valken Graffiti Paintballs are .68 caliber tournament-grade paintballs designed for competitive play, offering high accuracy and consistent performance. Consumer feedback highlights their smooth and consistent shell, with many users noting, "I shoot Graffiti on the regular and never had a problem with it even after I've had a few cases sitting in my closet for some of the winter." While most users appreciate the paintballs' performance and reliability, some have mentioned that the shells can be on the thicker side, which may lead to occasional bounces. Overall, the Valken Graffiti Paintballs are highly recommended for both recreational and competitive players due to their performance and eco-friendly attributes.

I’ve had this from GI Sportz Paint too

Positive Feedback

I hate it because it is super hard and bounces off of bunkers and when you get hit it just hurts more in my opinion.

Has anybody shot HK premier paint? How is it?
D3fy is great for the price but the level one shells don't break consistently.
Valken Graffiti paint performs well
Yea I was able to get level 1 and it shoots nice. Better than Valken Infinity and the seams on the shells were good.
No issues with accuracy when using Graffiti
I shoot Graffiti on the regular and never had a problem with it even after I've had a few cases sitting in my closet for some of the winter.
Consistent shell performance noted
The shell is consistent, but it can be a little too thick for some.

GI field paint bounces and is hard, causing more pain
I hate it because it is super hard and bounces off of bunkers and when you get hit it just hurts more in my opinion.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Variety of preferences for practice and tournament paints
I’ve discovered my marker’s favorite is GI 5 Star and America United.
I let it fly with Defy most of the time here in SoCal.
Most of the fields around me sell GI. I shoot 4 star, 5 star, Dynasty, and Evil pretty interchangeably.
Discussion on paintball gear preferences and experiences
Is the valken impact shirt any good? [deleted]
do we want more people to get into our sport? Or are yall gonna Gate keep because he wants less pain in a sport thats supposed to be fun?
Honestly I sell both the valken and gen x padded shirts and the gen x one is cheaper and better quality with thicker padding.
But we certainly didn’t need something like this.
Discussion on the origins and production of various paint brands
Valken is definitely ThinkBig out of S. Korea. They're a really reputable company in the Asia/Pacific market.
I suspect that HK and D3FY may use the same plant, wherever it is.
Tango paintballs are newer and made in Mexico
It's a newer paintball made is Mexico. It shoots fine.
Local preferences influence paint choices
I have only had good luck with Graffiti. I recently shot 2 cases of Fate that was perfectly round, and super brittle.
Great shell, shoots better than premium for accuracy.
Discussion on paint quality varies by brand
Lately it seems like tournament paint is great bc it’s brittle but doesn’t fly the best
Sadly every place I play is fpo so I don't get to try a lot of other paint any more.
It’s only in their big case paint that is dogshit. It’s so soft and easy to break. I swear I avoid that paint like the plague.
The old Diablo Hellfire in the casket case was the best shooting paint.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Curiosity about using paintballs as slingshot ammo
Turns out Valken 50. paintballs are great slingshot ammo
That looks a lot of fun!

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
No definitive best brand; freshness impacts performance
There is no one best brand of paint, as freshness and local have massive impact on how well something shoots.
Local availability influences paintball performance
The only time I use HK paint is either in a tournament or if no other paint is available.
Quality of field paint varies by local availability
Quality field paint. I’m in the process of getting my business plan for a field dialed in and I’m looking into recommendations for quality field paint that is consistent quality out side of me rotating cases and maintaining a quality environment for them.
Valken paintballs sourced from Think Big in South Korea
Valken - Bought APX, now they have SOME manufacturing in California, but most paint is made somewhere else, China maybe?
Valken's overseas stuff comes from Think Big in S. Korea. They do paint for several other brands as well, I think they did Dye CG?
Can confirm Valken stuff being made in S Korea. Source, I'm currently in South Korea and we are shooting paint made by Think Big Paintball and it's just reboxxed Valken Graffiti.
Tango paintballs are considered the lowest level
Tango is a smaller and lighter paintball at an average .668" diameter and 3.05 grams, but more consistently sized than the more expensive options in my tests.
Lack of information available on Tango paintballs
Anyone heard of Valken Tango Paintballs? They are the 'field grade' brand used at the field I play at, but other than the Valken website which has a quick description, I can't find anything on them.
Field quality and management vary by location
It's a beautiful field. They spend money to take care of the grass.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Quality and consistency of paintballs vary by batch
I don't put that much stock in particular brands or grades of paint. It seems like quality and consistency varies too much from batch to batch.
Pretty valid points right there. I’ll definitely be using what the field offers, but I’m just curious if anyone has had any really good and/or bad luck with certain paints when tinkering at home.
Looks like Valken really will be releasing the Ripsaw at 'Cup.
Today we learned hk paint quality control sucks.
Discussion on APX paint brand history and performance
If this is a worst crappy field paint quality I'd buy some.
APX made excellent paint, but they had a terrible distribution system.
Goodness gracious bro sounds like you were there for the whole thing.
Back in the day a lot of seconds were also just switch over when they changed colors.
Rumors about the APX factory's ownership and status
The dynasty boys used to drive to the hk paint factory to get their practice paint, so northern Mexico is 100% realistic
Storage conditions affect paintball performance
I've haven't used Valken in a minute, but I find the biggest thing about getting good paint is how it is stored/treated once it is made.
Concerns about hardness of certain paintballs
My home field generally allows BYOP, but bans Infinity and Monster for being too damned hard.
