Delicious percolated coffee
Percolated coffee is delightful.
It makes surprisingly good coffee. I have a French press, a vacuum pot, and a pour over rug but I have switched to the old perc pot most of the time.
Nostalgic brewing method preferred by family
My grandparents always made their coffee this way with a farberware perc, so when I began drinking coffee in college it seemed like the obvious brewing choice.
I like the electric one better.
Easy cleanup with basket filter
This makes cleanup so easy.
Enjoyment of percolated coffee
Count me in for the percolating bandwagon!

Hottest coffee ever man. So good.
Still use it regularly for the best tasting coffee.

My great grandmother's percolator still making coffee nearly 100 years later.
She used it damn near everyday until my grandpa died in 2008 and still breaks it out when someone who drinks coffee visits.
Both of my grandmothers had identical 50's percolators, and now I have one of them.

Overall bad way to make coffee
It's just overall a bad way to make coffee
Preference for other brewing methods over percolators
I dislike the French press and the percolator.
To put it bluntly, I cannot think of a worse way to brew coffee than a percolator.
Preference for other coffee brewing methods
If all you need is a small brewer, then the [BonaVita 1500ts](https://www.amazon.com/Bonavita-BV1500TS-Carafe-Coffee-Stainless/dp/B00SK5IXPQ) is only $80.
Seriously though, get one of these. I have had a BonaVita for 3 years now and for the price it’s really hard to beat.
Most machines under this don't get water hot enough.
I'll suggest you get an Aeropress and an electric kettle (or some hot water source).
Confusion about the quality differences between old and new percolator designs
All the ones I own have a narrow dome with a cylindrical hole in the center about an inch deep.
