Snoop's Take

The Moss & Stone Electric Coffee Percolator is a stylish and efficient coffee maker designed to brew 2 to 10 cups of rich coffee. With its classic burgundy red design and stainless steel lid, it serves as both a functional appliance and a decorative piece for any kitchen or camping setup. Consumer sentiment around this product reveals some skepticism, particularly regarding the quality of coffee produced by percolators. One user noted, "the best answer really and truly is: don’t use a percolator," indicating a general preference for drip machines among some coffee enthusiasts. Additionally, concerns about brewing temperature and over-extraction leading to poor quality coffee have been echoed in multiple reviews, with comments highlighting that percolators might not meet the standards of more modern coffee brewing methods. Given the mixed feedback, particularly the criticisms of coffee quality and brewing methods, potential buyers might want to consider their preferences before purchasing the Moss & Stone Electric Coffee Percolator. While it may appeal to those seeking a traditional brewing experience, it may not be recommended for those seeking superior coffee quality.

It’s not tripping the electrics or anything dramatic, just switching off.
Some pics of my grow room. Mossed pottery and statuary are volcanic stone that I spored with a buttermilk mixture
I’m gonna be honest. The best answer really and truly is: don’t use a percolator.
Percolators produce poor quality coffee
They put the water through the coffee at boiling temp (bad) and then continue to boil the brewed coffee (even worse) and brew for to long (You either get watery coffee or over extracted coffee).

Just keep it on the heat until it starts to percolate. There will be plenty of noise once the water is boiling and coffee being made.

Is it possible the water is hard at your new home, and the coffee maker water bits are getting filled with lime?
Hard water is a huge problem with city water in my town, and most towns and cities I know of.
As mentioned by /u/shortlrd and /u/NigelKF it's limestone or calcium deposit due to the use of hard water.
