Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Climbing bags often serve as status symbols.
it literally doesn't matter for your use and what you are buying is purely a status symbol.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Rope bags often seen as unnecessary for gym use
a useless middleground between a tarp and a backpack
I'd rather just coil the rope up in or on my backpack, and use my jacket as a tarp if I needed to
I usually just make a rope backpack and throw it into the dirt/ sand
he is literally the greatest player next to faker and we just let him go to save a few penny

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Comparison with DMM Classic
Both suck for the crag. Either one is good for the gym.
I use the DMM Classic. For gym stuff its great as I ca ln get my rope in there, harness and shoes.
Recommendations for other climbing bags are common.
If you have money to blow Black Diamond Creek, the 35L is a sweet spot for gym and outdoor TR/Sport climbing.
Just bought the new (i think) Black Diamond Gear 30 and i love it.
Discussion of alternatives to rope bags
So idk maybe get one like that
I just see lots of people use them in the gym, it seems superfluous.
If you want to be a hipster, you have to get an Ikea bag.
Comparative remarks on different brands and models
I have the arc'teryx haku and love it! It compacts down super small and has huge footprint.
Discussion about the weight of climbing bags in general
Love posts like these.
Other brands and models are frequently mentioned
It swallows everything! For me it’s also comfortable to carry.
They hold up very well. I also use the 35l for travel.
Great bag and all my friends are jealous.
Discussion about appropriate bag sizes for different rope lengths
Not sure that there are many caves I’ll be visiting where the difference to 93m will be necessary, it seems like drops are either 60m or 100m not a whole lot of 70, 80 meter drops where I live.
Maybe consider a bigger bag if you consider 93m of rope, I put 60m of 10.5mm in a classic and I got a little bit less space than a helmet left.
A Classique seems waaay too small for 350ft unless you're using 8mm rope.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Not waterproof or water resistant
I don’t think either bag is waterproof or water resistant, but I think the Petzl would be better at resisting water just due to the feel of the fabric.
Warning against using non-trusted brands for climbing gear
This is a product I would not trust my life on, but it is being advertised as a climbing rope.
If we find things like the rope you mentioned we should report the seller.
