I have a eurocuisine and it runs around 106 -107F. Too hot for reuteri.
My suggestion is to toss the yogurt maker - for the very reason you’re having an issue, the lack of temperature flexibility.

You don't need to seal it because it's not pressure cooked, you just cover it with literally anything.

My main concern is making sure that the device will keep the milk in the appropriate temperature range to not kill off the probiotics.
I just used a heating pad on low wrapped around a French press beaker.
My mom made yogurt at home my whole life, before yogurt making was cool and before yogurt was anything but some sad little Dannon.
Once yogurt to be is at the correct temperature and it is in the flask it stays at the correct temperature for at least 12 hours. It works!

Second the second silicone ring. I have one for savory food and one for sweet food (stewed apples, etc).

I'd probably strain it through some cheesecloth after you finish but before you portion to remove any chunks.
