Snoop's Take

The Nilight LED Light Bar is a versatile lighting solution designed for off-road vehicles, including trucks, SUVs, and ATVs. With its combination of spot and flood beams, this light bar enhances visibility during nighttime driving and outdoor activities, making it an essential accessory for adventurers. User feedback highlights the Nilight LED Light Bar's high intensity and performance, with many users expressing satisfaction with its brightness and clarity, stating that "they are fantastic for the money." However, some consumers noted concerns about noise from the light bar and issues with coating quality, indicating that while it delivers great value, it may not be as durable as higher-end options. Despite these mixed sentiments, the overall consensus leans toward appreciation for its cost-effectiveness and performance. Considering the positive feedback for its brightness and the strong community support, the Nilight LED Light Bar is recommended for those seeking budget-friendly lighting solutions for off-road use, provided they are aware of potential durability concerns.

Very nice to have some extra lighting down the road on high speed backroads.

Positive Feedback

LED light bars (windshield mount) make a ton of noise... not something that I would do again.

Noise from LED light bars
LED light bars (windshield mount) make a ton of noise... not something that I would do again.
I wouldn't add a light bar over the windshield because of noise.
Poor coating quality leads to corrosion
Long time user of the Amazon specials. Amazon ones have poor coating quality.
Perceived as overpriced compared to similar products
Similar lights can be found for $40-50 all day on amazon.
My Baja design ditch lights and light bar have been put through the wringer for 7 years and they are still going strong with 0 condensation or other issues.
Water intrusion issues leading to failure
Beyond that they did what they needed to.
Not as durable as higher-end brands
It’s hard to go wrong with cheapies like that. They’ll work great but may not last 5+ years.

Cmon!
User discusses using epoxy to improve sealing
Made it very easy to add a bead of epoxy all around the seams.
They have great throw down trail coupled with an extra wide flood.
Amber lights provide better visibility in inclement weather
Amber vs white fog lights I’ve read several google results on this but I wanted to hear some real experience/reviews if you’ve tried either color.
Proven fact that amber provides better contrast in inclement weather (*fog, rain, snow, smoke, dust, etc*).
I would agree that amber is better. In the offroad situation the amber lights show ruts and lumps on the surface of the snow and they also don't blind you with reflected light.
I use my ambers when it's dusty, foggy, rainy, or in snow and the amber light provides a better contrast and looks less hazy compared to white light.
Discussion on the effectiveness of amber vs white fog lights
Critically important, both for performance in real fog and not being a rude driver.
Previous high-performance light bars from flashlight community
their performance trounced most of the market.
Inquiries about specific lights' quality
Can you tell me if [these](http://m.imgur.com/h50DdWG) lights are garbage or not?
User expresses desire to install LED lights for fun but worries about appearing foolish.
I want a set for my prius. But I don’t wanna drive into work with them on my bumper because, well, I don’t want to look like a total douche.

User retrofitted similar lights to their grill.
Have these in mine. I retro fitted them to my grill.
User considers adapting lights for different vehicle
how are these lights holding up? I'm thinking of sticking two of these in the grill of my Miata to light up the backroads at night
User discusses creative placements for light bars
Ideas for a hidden light-bar for those winter night drives into the cabin?
It will mount to the actual bumper underneath. Can't hardly tell it's there and actually puts out quite a bit of light even behind the fascia.
They are insanely bright, far brighter than the 20” dual row Amazon special light bar I put in the bumper.
Sharing installation plans and experiences
that bar won't be very floody I don't think so I would maybe consider mounting some pods on your A pillars also
How many more lights do I need?
User shares experiences with different light bar placements
Yea I was considering a flood or a lightbar on the rear of the rack Since my cargo light is blocked.
Discussion about light placements in vehicles
Anyone know if there's a light bar that will fit behind the highlighted section? preferably without cutting any of the grill.
That's a great idea! I farm and this would be extremely useful in the back-40.
Watch out there's some Karen's on here that might tell you they have sensitive eyes 😂
Come to the country then. There's fewer lights... 😆

User is unsure about naming the product for replacement.
This light went out tonight and I’m just struggling to find what this is called so I can get it replaced.
I want to get some aftermarket lights on my Crosstrek. I’m stuck on KC’s, mainly cause I’m a sucker for big, round, rally style lights, but they are super expensive.
User shares experiences with light bar placements
Best bang for your buck in off road lighting? The prices of some of these lights is mind blowing.
If you don’t already have LED headlights, then get that upgrade.
Comparison of high-end vs Amazon specials
Are the $1k high end light bars 10x better than the $100 Amazon specials?
User experiences with different light setups
Both work well for what they are needed for.
Discussion on light placement for better visibility
I know how many 50" bars you'll need in order to get into any girls pants and crush puss for the rest of your days.
What are your thoughts on light placement for driving on hilly rocky forest trails in Alabama on a stock 2004 Tacoma? I find that it is really hard to navigate when driving at night.
Lower down and up front mounts will get you better illumination directly in front of your vehicle.
Personally I'd go low. Like around your headlight height. If that doesn't work you can always change it.

Cautionary Callouts

Inquiry about the light's impact on visibility while driving
Does it block your view at all?
I could use more light on the forest and desert roads in New Mexico, and also more visibility when we are evaluating potential camp sites in the dark.
Discussion about light durability and comparison to other brands
How well do the lenses hold up? I notice on our fleet trucks even the aftermarket led work lights glaze over after ~2 years.
Here’s the ones they basically copied. $370 bucks.
Discussion about light performance compared to high-end brands
I can not for the life of me see why someone would pay $400-$2,000 for a light.
Discussion about LED lights blinding drivers at night.
I've honestly stopped using my car at night
Try the yellow tinted glasses , wasn't perfect but helped.
the best solution I've got is try the yellow tinted driving glasses ( Shell garages have some good ones at the moment at around £10). They take the edge off enough for that it's no longer painful and I can drive safely even if they are still annoying as hell.
Guy had a LED light bar on the BACK of his truck and it was on for some reason in bright daylight blinding all of us cars that unfortunately had to follow this twat.
Humorous commentary about truck accessories and modifications.
To call those nuts is a severe overstatement, it'll take an electron scanning microscope just to prove he's not a woman.
A friend of mine cut off some. Left the base hanging so they knew the nuts were cut off.
Then you'd have a bunch of trucks with pink nuts driving around.
Find the truck, place the tape, watch him drive around with it for months before he figures It out
