Snoop's Take

Walker's 32dB Noise-Canceling Foam Earplugs are designed to provide effective hearing protection in noisy environments such as shooting ranges and industrial workplaces. With a high noise reduction rating and a comfortable, adaptable foam design, these earplugs aim to safeguard your hearing while ensuring comfort during use. Consumer feedback highlights the effectiveness of these earplugs when combined with additional ear protection, with many users noting that "doubling up helps add a bit more protection". However, some users have reported concerns regarding the earplugs' performance, stating that they felt "no ear muffs of any design are as effective as doubling up ear pro". This duality in feedback reflects that while they are effective in some scenarios, they may not meet the needs of all users, particularly in high-noise situations. Overall, Walker's 32dB Noise-Canceling Foam Earplugs are recommended for casual shooters and those looking for basic noise protection, but users seeking maximum performance in extreme noise environments may need to consider supplementary protection options.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective noise reduction when used with other ear protection
I haven’t been able to go to the range yet to test them out so I’d appreciate it if anyone that has tried it out can let me know.
I have the same… doubled with foam plugs I still hear people fine (quieter than without but that’s the point) although I only double up for indoor ranges.
you can still hear talking fine but you do have to turn up the headphones to the max.
Doubling up on ear protection enhances safety
Will wearing both the walker’s and foam ear plugs be sufficient enough protection and still be able to hear okay?
Yes, doubling up helps add a bit more protection and also provides a backup in case of failure.
If you double up that’ll be perfect.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Lacking ear protection performance
no on ear muffs are as effective as over ear muffs, and no ear muffs of any design are as effective as doubling up ear pro.
seems like a good product but died after one use.
Lacking gunshot compression performance
I was hoping for something that had better gunshot compression.
Walker Razor Slims and foam ear plugs. Mainly shoot indoors and they do the trick, unless the person next to me is shooting with a muzzle brake.
Insufficient noise reduction from Walker's products alone
Many folks do that. The regular Walker’s I believe are only 23nrr which is a bit light for indoor ranges.
Tinnitus to this day. Kicking myself.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Preference for over-ear muffs over in-ear plugs
ear plugs are not ideal because even with the canal plugged the small bones around your ear can still transfer enough sound to cause cumulative damage.
Are the razors not good in the hearing protection aspect? Asking cause mine just just got delivered
I use Sordin Supreme Pro-X. Good sound qualty and comfortable to wear.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Preference for using foam earplugs with electronic muffs
being able to hear other shooters/ROs/your buddies is really nice.

Custom molded plugs recommended for comfort
definitely a buy once-cry once purchase in my opinion.
Recommendations for ear protection in loud environments
Typically when I go to the range, I wear in ear plugs and my Walker's.
Passive ear muffs should be fine.
It's the overpressure you need to worry about.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
User recommendations for various earplug brands
In-ear protection recommendations ? Otto ? Walkers ? What are you guys using? I’m very interested in buying some.
Love my Otto’s, especially in the summer heat. Worth every penny.
Excellent. I use the foam tip. Squeeze and roll it around in your fingers then push it deep into the ear and hold it there while it expands and it’s not going anywhere.
I use the Walker's Disrupters currently. Kind of like airpods. A lot of folks at competitions use Walker's Silencers.
User recommendations for additional ear protection
Makes a world of difference especially indoors.
Would u recommend running sordins during a home envision ?
100% for active hearing protection if you have the time, Sordins or otherwise.
Mention of shooting indoors affecting ear protection effectiveness
I’ve had mine for a few years now and haven’t had any issues. However, I only shoot outdoors, so I can’t attest to how they are indoors.
Concerns about noise exposure for children
I hate seeing parents not having protection for their kids
For me it’s just a comfort thing. 300 ultra kicks like a mule without one
