Snoop's Take

Walker's 32dB NRR Sound Blocking PU Foam Passive Hearing Protection earplugs are designed to protect your hearing from loud noises, such as gunshots and industrial sounds. With a Noise Reduction Rating of 32dB, these earplugs provide an effective acoustic seal and are crafted from soft, comfortable foam for all-day wear. Consumer sentiment reveals a mix of opinions about these earplugs. Many users appreciate the comfortable fit and note that they are effective when doubled with electronic muffs, stating, "doubling up helps add a bit more protection and also provides a backup in case of failure." However, some users have expressed concerns about the earplugs' effectiveness compared to competitors, with one stating, "TL/DR: buy the EEP-100. They’re pretty good. Don’t buy the Walkers. They’re junk." The feedback highlights the importance of proper insertion for maximum effectiveness and the need to consider doubling up for indoor shooting. Overall, while Walker's earplugs offer decent comfort and protection, the mixed feedback suggests that potential buyers should weigh their options against other available products in the market. It may be beneficial to consider these earplugs as an addition to existing hearing protection rather than a standalone solution.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Effective acoustic seal for hearing protection
they break the seal of the ear muff cups, *significantly* reducing the hearing protection.
if that's the outcome, then it's pointless!
Comfortable for all-day wear
I really like mine but they’re more for all day comfort than wearing glasses.
The nice thing about electronic ear pro is that you can boost the sound volume of not gunshots so that unlike with passive ear pro, you can hear what is happening around you loud enough that it works through your plugs, while still having all of the loud noise protection.
Effective combination with electronic muffs
Makes a world of difference especially indoors.
I still double up with foamies indoors, but being able to hear other shooters/ROs/your buddies is really nice.
I haven’t been able to go to the range yet to test them out so I’d appreciate it if anyone that has tried it out can let me know.
I have the same… doubled with foam plugs I still hear people fine (quieter than without but that’s the point) although I only double up for indoor ranges.
Adequate protection for indoor shooting
Walker Razor Slims and foam ear plugs. Mainly shoot indoors and they do the trick, unless the person next to me is shooting with a muzzle brake.
Doubling up provides additional protection
Yes, doubling up helps add a bit more protection and also provides a backup in case of failure.
If you double up that’ll be perfect.
Effective for shooting
they work amazing
Effective for shooting indoors with double protection
Never mess around with your hearing.
You should be always doubling up when shooting inside in indoor/closed range.
Importance of proper ear plug insertion for effectiveness
It will make a big difference in the effectiveness of the plugs.

Negative opinion on effectiveness compared to competitors
TL/DR: buy the EEP-100. They’re pretty good. Don’t buy the Walkers. They’re junk.
I use the Walker's Disrupters currently. Kind of like airpods.
Lacking effectiveness as ear protection
I have the Walker's rope earbuds (I forget the exact model), and found them to be lacking as ear protection.
That’s what I run now on indoor ranges.
Inadequate gunshot compression
I was hoping for something that had better gunshot compression.
Insufficient protection for indoor range sessions
I have some electronic walker’s that I use but my ears usually will ring for an hour after each session.
Ineffective ear protection compared to other options
Going to the dr today to see just how bad.
Inadequate protection without doubling up
My dude if they weren’t providing a good seal I’d be able to tell immediately, not sure what your on about
If you're shooting indoors without doubling up with foam plugs under muffs, you are damaging your hearing. Whether you're smart enough to realize it is another question.

WTF?????
The way the electronic ears work is they have a passive NRR of, on average, 25-27: if they’re on your head, thats the level of protection you’re getting.
