Snoop's Take

The Fusion Climb Lightweight and Durable Aero Space Aluminum Alloy Double Pulley is designed for various rigging and rescue operations, providing a reliable solution for arborists and tree climbers. Users have expressed positive sentiments about the pulley system, noting that it significantly simplifies operations: "the pulley system will be great if you plan to set this up, but take down just the apparatus at night." However, some feedback suggests that without the incorporation of rope, the pulley may not offer much advantage over a standard carabiner: "Unless you’re somehow going to incorporate rope, I don’t think that pulley would work much better than a normal carabiner."

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion about the reliability of brand-name swivels
Swivels are not all the same. Petzl and other popular name brands are typically more reliable, higher quality, and more trustworthy than unknown but cheap brands you might find on Amazon.
Suggestions for pulley system upgrades
Plus a 2:1 pulley system makes changing apparatus (particularly lyra) much easier.
Inquiries about Fusion's reputation.
I'm sure either is a good option. Realistically if you exceed the Sterling's 15kN load then you've got bigger problems going on, but of course it doesn't hurt to have something more bomber.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
People are buying Fusion Strike booster boxes for future profit.
Fusion strike is climbing
People don’t realize how many people say they’re going to collect booster boxes to sell them in the future for profit but then just open them a few months to a few years later.
Discussion on enhancing primitive setups with pulleys
Can I use 1/2 pulley with 1" slackline for primitive setup?
Buy that pulley (or the SMC CRx), drill or hacksack the pin, replace pin with bolt and 3-4 skateboard bearings.
I've seen people use that as their multiplier, like this.

Discussion about injury rehabilitation methods in climbing.
my fingers feel much stronger.
since incorporating this into my training in April I haven’t had any acute pulley injuries, which is the longest I’ve been injury free in around 2 years, since I got my first major pulley injury and had been density hanging almost daily since.
that's a really cool fingerboard I haven't seen before! (ouchy on the price though).
subjectively, I do believe BPC-157 helped me rebuild tendon integrity MUCH faster than my previous tendon injury experiences
Discussion on outdoor rig setups and weatherproofing
can you leave the rope outdoors? Otherwise, for those with outdoor rigs + pulleys, what is your weatherproof setup?
many ropes used for rock climbing are resistent to different weather conditions so that might be a good place to start.
She leaves her rig up year round and the pulley system stays up except in winter, when she replaces it with a hanging ladder (so she can climb up to re-rig the pulley instead of taking the rig down).
so far, second year outdoors, they all seem fine, no need for a replacement yet, albeit some of them are new this season.
Discussion on pulley system recommendations
Given your short rig, I would go with a single pulley, shackle, amsteel rope to connect it to your rig.
wow thank you so much, this is very helpful!!
Discussion on rig header lengths
I’m planning on using this for single silks, nothing crazy, just practicing and getting my strength back after so long out of the studio.
The 6 ft header isn't long enough to have 2 apparatus in use at the same time - you'd bump into each other at only 6 ft apart.
I was on my girlfriends Ludwig last night. She has the 4 ft header and on lyra I kept hitting the legs of the rig with my foot while I was on the top.
Inquiries about pulley system installation ease
It seems like locking a carabiner/swivel/carabiner/figure 8 onto the rig would be hard to screw up, but the pulley system offers more scope for messing up.
Discussion on cable management solutions
Cable management Seeing that I don’t have the pulley system due to my ceilings being too tall how should I manage my cables so they don’t kink?
Balance is key to keep immersion up.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on the stress and challenges of gliding and progress in flying.
I find it really extremely stressful, thinking all the time, speed, altitude, attitude, I catch myself really tense all the time.

Remembering when I could barely pretzel mount…
Pullys for Pully system? Has anyone made their own pully system and not bought a kit one?
Discussion on pulley rupture injuries in climbing.
To the climbers who had a pulley rupture injury, did your fingers hurt a lot right before it happened? I'm slowly getting into climbing, and I would love to avoid a pulley rupture, lol.
When I ruptured a pulley I didn't notice anything leading up to it. It was early in my session though, and I just jumped on something too hard too soon.
I initially downvoted you because I thought it was another, "I hurt my fingie, what do I do?" posts. This is a valid question, though.
It can happen all at once and it probably does most of the time but there is also the potential to finish rupturing a partial tear.
Discussion on rehab methods for pulley injuries
Has anyone tried using this for their rehab and how do you do it, where do you inject it, and for how long and what were your results like?
esther smiths hangboard protocol worked well for me
Discussion on pulley rupture injuries in climbing
Pulley System for Rig? Does anyone have any recommendations for a pulley system?
Discussion on pulley injuries and recovery
Pulley strain won't heal Looking for some advice.
I would personally advise against it since it prolonged the healing of my first pulley injury.
I don’t think this is something to worry about unless this soreness is more of an actual pain.
Finger injuries, in general, take forever to heal.
