Snoop's Take

The Fusion Climb Nuro Pulley is a robust aluminum pulley designed for a variety of outdoor activities, including towing, off-road recovery, and climbing. With a maximum breaking strength of 20kN and compatibility with ropes up to 11mm, this pulley aims to enhance performance in various rigging scenarios. Consumer feedback highlights the effectiveness of the Nuro Pulley in simplifying rig setups and creating multipliers for primitive setups, with users noting, "the pulley system will be great if you plan to set this up." However, some users have raised concerns about potential height issues when using double pulleys and noted that it can be noisier than traditional options, stating, "I’ve heard it’s better overall, but noisier which can be annoying." Overall, the Fusion Climb Nuro Pulley is recommended for its category due to its ability to improve rig efficiency and reduce wear on drivetrain parts, making it a valuable addition for outdoor enthusiasts and climbers alike.

I personally love having a pulley system on rigs. It makes it so much easier

Positive Feedback

I was on my girlfriends Ludwig last night. She has the 4 ft header and on lyra I kept hitting the legs of the rig with my foot while I was on the top.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Pulley systems simplify rig setups
I personally love having a pulley system on rigs. It makes it so much easier
Pulley is awesome. Single as good as double pulley especially for silks (especially given the height loss with a double).
the pulley system will be great if you plan to set this up, but take down just the apparatus at night.
Effective for creating multipliers in primitive setups
Is it possible for 1" line?
Building a mutiplier with those pulleys is a good option to get more out of your primitive set up.
Improves chain performance
Any (New) Chain guide pulley users? Hi all, Has anyone made the change to the new sprocket chain g
It’s still a bit noisy, but I’ve also got a Rolling Jackass stand installed and the positioning is a little different, so YMMV.
Reduces wear on drivetrain parts
I very much like the idea of slower wear on an essential part of the drive train.

Double pulleys may cause height issues
I was on my girlfriends Ludwig last night. She has the 4 ft header and on lyra I kept hitting the legs of the rig with my foot while I was on the top.
May not work better than a normal carabiner
Unless you’re somehow going to incorporate rope (which is possible), I don’t that pulley would work much better than a normal carabiner.
Can be noisy during operation
I’ve heard it’s better overall, but noisier which can be annoying.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on weatherproof setups for outdoor rigs
can you leave the rope outdoors?
I take it down in fall and setup in late spring to try and miss bad weather.
She leaves her rig up year round and the pulley system stays up except in winter, when she replaces it with a hanging ladder.
So far, second year outdoors, they all seem fine, no need for a replacement yet.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about DIY pulley systems
Has anyone made their own pully system and not bought a kit one?
If this is for a permanent point then I would absolutely not recommend DIYing a pulley system if you're on here asking which pulley to buy.
Industrial pulleys are often a lot less for a lot more than climbing pulleys.
Our pulleys are petzl as well.
Discussion about pulley rehabilitation setups
The key to my recovery, I found, was a slow and deliberate increase in weight percentages.
Since incorporating this into my training in April I haven’t had any acute pulley injuries, which is the longest I’ve been injury free in around 2 years, since I got my first major pulley injury and had been density hanging almost daily since.
Has anyone tried using this for their rehab and how do you do it, where do you inject it, and for how long and what were your results like?
esther smiths hangboard protocol worked well for me
Discussion about DIY pulley modifications
Buy that pulley (or the SMC CRx), drill or hacksack the pin, replace pin with bolt and 3-4 skateboard bearings.
Reference to using pulleys as multipliers
I've seen people use that as their multiplier, [like this.].
Discussion about dynamic climbing techniques
it feels like my pulleys will rip.
Not being able to hang a 15mm edge is indeed pretty weak for v6-7 board climbing.

learning how to latch a hold with your fingers already in a half crimp or something, you’re more likely to hold on and less likely to suddenly blow a pulley.

Comment on fingerboard pricing
that's a really cool fingerboard I haven't seen before! (ouchy on the price though).
Importance of patience in injury recovery
Be patient and don't do anything stupid and you'll get there!
I healed all my pulley injuries without a physio using the literature and experience.
Discussion on header lengths and rig configurations
care more about being positive that the rigging is safe and solid.
The 6 ft header isn't long enough to have 2 apparatus in use at the same time - you'd bump into each other at only 6 ft apart.
It seems like locking a carabiner/swivel/carabiner/figure 8 onto the rig would be hard to screw up, but the pulley system offers more scope for messing up.
Discussion about cable management solutions
Seeing that I don’t have the pulley system due to my ceilings being too tall how should I manage my cables so they don’t kink?
Balance is key to keep immersion up.
Discussion on pulley rehabilitation and injury recovery timelines
thumbs up for three torn a2 pulleys!!! can’t climb for 2 months.
All that rehab you ought to do before climbing.
The heavy bandaging isn't an encouraging sign though.
it was over 3 months before I could climb anywhere close to what I used to do.
Discussion on pulley maintenance without bearings
Since these pulleys don't have bearings inside, how do I keep them rolling smoothly and without friction?
By installing them how they’re engineered to be installed. Don’t try to outthink shimano engineers
Just because it’s not a roller ball bearing type, doesn’t mean it’s not a bearing 😉
Clean and lube from time to time

Discussion about pulley rupture injuries and prevention
Weekly Question Thread: Ask your questions in this thread please Please sort comments by 'new' to fi
To the climbers who had a pulley rupture injury, did your fingers hurt a lot right before it happened? I'm slowly getting into climbing, and I would love to avoid a pulley rupture, lol.
When I ruptured a pulley I didn't notice anything leading up to it. It was early in my session though, and I just jumped on something too hard too soon.
I initially downvoted you because I thought it was another, 'I hurt my fingie, what do I do?' posts. This is a valid question, though.
Discussion about pulley injuries and recovery
90% of the time there is little to no pain (like 0-2) when actually pulling, so it feels like I should be in the right place to return to climbing
I would personally advise against it since it prolonged the healing of my first pulley injury
My own pulley strain (not even a full tear, just strained) took over 2 months to heal
You need to lower the weights until you get minimal to no soreness because the intensities you are at are too much and you're not building any load tolerance
Personal experiences with different pulley brands
I went with a Petzl Rescue pulley attached to a TEMco 3/8" shackle that Ludwig installs on the header.
Inquiry about Fusion's reputation
I'm sure either is a good option. Realistically if you exceed the Sterling's 15kN load then you've got bigger problems going on, but of course it doesn't hurt to have something more bomber.
