Snoop's Take

The Hitdudu Camping Axe is a versatile multi-tool designed for outdoor enthusiasts, combining the functionalities of an axe, hammer, and several survival tools in one compact design. Made from durable materials, it features an adjustable handle and comes with a protective sheath, making it ideal for camping, hiking, and hunting activities. Consumer feedback has highlighted some concerns about the product's design, particularly regarding the hammer side, with one user stating, "I had mine break using the head for hammering." Despite being praised for its sharp blade and multiple uses, there are indications that some users have found its hammering capability lacking. Overall, while the axe serves multiple functions well, the design weakness noted by users could impact its reliability in certain situations. Considering the feedback, the Hitdudu Camping Axe is recommended for those seeking a multi-tool for camping and outdoor activities, but potential buyers should be aware of the hammer side's limitations.

Hammer side has a design weakness
I had mine break using the head for hammering.
the biggest advantage in my opinion is just having a second sharp edge wether your grubbing or out in the woods for an extended period of time it’s nice to have that second bit for when your first edge starts to get dull.
I've always used a vice and a fine-tooth file, but I can't say that it is necessarily "the best" way.

Discussion on preferred axe brands
Update: I went with an Estwing camper’s 14in axe and can’t thank you guys enough for all your feed back and suggestions.
For my money, I've never had one better than the Estwing. Solid, holds an edge, nice hardened leather grip, and solid enough to baton wood easily.
I have an estwing too. Different variant - has a sledge hammer on the back of the head and a tent stake pull built in.
The rubber handle version is ergonomically better if you’re going to use it a lot.

General advice about buying first axe or hatchet
After all that, if you still want more, buy yourself that kickass axe ... Granfors Bruks seems to be the consensus choice... but don't make the big purchase until you know (from experience) what it is that you need and want.
Discussion about axe sharpening techniques
It’s not amazing, but it gets the job done.
Axes have durability considerations that don’t always apply to knives.
He does a good job of fully explaining the theory behind thinning the axe head, different tools you can use to sharpen, and shows detailed video start to finish of different techniques.
Just the way I do it and works well for me.

Discussion of various axe brands and types
Good camping axe? Any recommendations on camping axes that will hold up to regular use?
fiskars anything. really the best option for price point.
Gränsfor Bruk makes great axes! My partner uses the Scandinavian Forest Axe. Pricey but very reputab
Something from a hardware store with a hickory handle. Wood diffuses vibration from getting to your
Discussion on various axe brands and preferences
There's more to it than just picking the coolest looking one off the shelf.
The pipe hawk would be my first choice, too.
Its a very specialized tool.. i use it for light duty carving, bushcrafting, creating traps/ trapping.
If you're not going to throw it, I think a small hatchet has more usability in the woods.
Discussion on double bit axes advantages
Another advantage of a double bit axe is balance were is it allows to swing your axe with less wobbling or deflecting to better handling making up for the lost weight facing forwards of single bit so wouldn't better technique being significantly then having a extra bit for blance.
Dude, I fucking love double bits. I live in an isolated cabin in Northern Alaska, and I do a serious amount of firewood processing with axes.
Discussion on axe and hatchet preferences
I feel like I want a length in-between a traditional axe and hatchet.
Wood. Axe.
Either it'll be everything you want it to be, in which case you lucked out with a well-made tool, or you'll learn exactly which $150 Scandinavian axe you really want.
