That's sad, I'm sorry. They are a useful tool but should only be used when you need the non stick capability (so never when boiling water).
Technically Teflon is inert and just passes right through you if you eat it.

I was boiling water and forgot about it it boiled dry and I didn't realize till I could smell something weird in my room.
It's an infomercial, disposable product with a name brand that won't last more than a year or two.

how's your oven? It sort of looks like you tried to bake it at 200f instead of 200c.
Maybe try a tinfoil tent and cook a little longer at a lower temperature.
Turn down the heat by 25f and let it bake low and slow now.

I ordered Nordic Ware pans and am returning the steel ones because the company *lied* about their pan size.
I just threw away an aluminized steel pan and replaced it with an aluminum one.
