Snoop's Take

Gillette Mach3 Razor Refills for Men, featuring 8 razor blade refills, is designed to deliver a consistent, close shave with minimal fuss. It replaces worn blades with a trio of precision-engineered edges that provide up to 15 shaves per refill, ensuring you’re always ready for your next trim. Consumers have weighed in with a mix of admiration and critique. Many appreciate that "I keep sticking with Gillette," citing a close and comfortable shave, while others note that it doesn’t quite measure up against higher-end models. The conversation often circles back to a smooth shave experience, with users highlighting that their skin is never irritated. Even in a sardonic twist, one reviewer remarked, "my cheeks feel baby butt smooth," underscoring the product’s appeal despite occasional gripes about price and performance. In conclusion, the Mach3 Razor Refills remain a solid choice in the multi-blade razor market. Despite some criticisms, the majority sentiment from the community underscores its reliability and overall value for daily grooming, making it a recommended product for those who value a balanced blend of performance and comfort.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Provides a close shave
the shave isn’t nearly as close as the Mach5.
I keep sticking with Gillette.
the one I have been using shaves pretty close and my skin is never irritated.
Many people get razor bumps or burn with the Fusion.
Smooth shaving experience
Only used for the shaving cream-soap-gell.
Modern blades fit older Gillette razors
The blades seemed to have a more rounded shape back then compared to the rectangular blades of today.
Modern blades were designed to fit older razors.
Modern blades will work fine in a vintage razor.
Modern blades work great in it.
Provides an easy, quick, and efficient shave
I will NOT be going back to them lol. Too pricey, gimmicky, and IMO a lot less classy.
they provide an easy, quick, efficient shave with virtually no risk of serious nicks or cuts.
Comfortable and close shave with proper technique
it was a surprisingly comfortable and very close shave. Literally 0 alum block feedback, and BBS.
Provides a comfortable shave
Not only do I get an incredibly comfortable shave, but the blades last forever.
I can appreciate that you want a hassle free shave.
Convenient and quick shaving experience
With Gillette it's 90% one time.
Comfortable shaving experience
Fusion is a game changer in getting an absolute close shave.
Easy to use for quick shaves
I always regret taking that option.
Great shaver when it works
Great shaver when it works.
Gillette Platinum blades provide a satisfying shave experience.
I’ve been very pleased with those in the Heritage.
Spectrum is kinda bs , I’ve tried it and I did not enjoy it.
Reliable and preferred over safety razors
Mach3 is just easier, more comfortable, and close enough shave for me.
I'm hoping the Mach 3 works for me, and gives me less irritation and just less stress.
Long-lasting handle
Mach3 Turbo razor handle I just realized I've had and used weekly since 2007.

Gillette Blue Blades are no longer manufactured
Can you get these anymore? I’m googling Gillette Blue but it just comes up with disposable razors.
Unfortunately, they don't make these anymore. I wish they did since I love using them.
Blades are overpriced
The razors are alright, but the blades are really overpriced.
Personally, I find the new Gillette stuff to be overpriced.
BIC blades can cause nicks and irritation
Today I shaved with BIC blades for the first time and got possibly the worst results with them.
They work great for me, feels super sharp like a Feather.
Inconsistent performance of BIC blades
I hate BIC blades.
Sometimes they feel a little abrasive on the first go.
Counterfeit BIC blades exist
Bics are super fantastic, but I have gotten two boxes of fake Bics before.
Overpriced compared to alternatives
Both are overpriced multiblade razors.
Razors with more blades can give closer shaves, but at what price?
Less close shave than other models
It does not perform on the level of Fusion.
I completely disagree fewer blades results in a smoother shave.
Can cause irritation for sensitive skin
my sensitive skin got torn to shreds by both of those razors.
Ineffective for some users
3 blades can’t even cut my facial hair, even if I steam my face and apply shaving cream.
Genetics has given my ethnic group one of the toughest beards around.
Can cause razor burn and bumps
Fusion imo is the best and will remain to be the best close up shaver on the market today.
I have always thought that the greatest reduction was in going from 1 to 2.
Crowdfunding campaign raises questions about necessity
However, in a practical sense, it seems to me 'a hammer searching for a nail.'
High cost of cartridges
The cost of modern cartridges is absolutely insane.
this razor is the poster child of a business model that makes profit based on the blades being very disposable, and the expensive part.
Less effective compared to safety razors
Get a safety razor, best shave, best experience and after your initial setup cheapest bifl.

The King C Gillette safety razor feels substantial and weighs in at 102.6 grams, with the head weighing 31.7 grams, and the 3.75 inch handle weighing 70.9 grams.
Initially I only saw the unboxing video pop up on YouTube and thought to myself, "I need the full Cosmo review, too".
I popped the unboxing video up and then played with the thing for a while before getting around to using it and writing something up.

If you saw the double edge razor, you wouldn’t think it’s from Gillette because there is no big noticeable iconic text that they use for their 5 blades.

isn’t rinsing your razor under hot water approximately as effective and way cheaper.
