Snoop's Take

The Gillette Sensor3 Sensitive Men's Disposable Razor is designed to provide a comfortable and gentle shaving experience, particularly for those with sensitive skin. Featuring three skin-sensing blades and a pivoting head, it adapts to the contours of your face for a smooth shave. Users frequently praise its ease of use, with many stating, "I haven’t cut myself with a fusion, I never get razor burn," showcasing its reputation for providing a mild and irritation-free shave. Consumer feedback highlights several strengths of the Gillette Sensor3, including its cost-effectiveness and long-lasting blades, with users noting, "I’ve gotten maybe 2 ingrown hairs" since switching from cartridges. Many appreciate its ability to deliver a smooth shave without the common issues associated with multi-blade razors, stating, "You get a better shave with the Sensor than with any 5 or 6 blade razor." However, some users have reported irritation and a less close shave compared to other products in the market, indicating mixed responses in certain aspects. Overall, the Gillette Sensor3 Sensitive Men's Disposable Razor is recommended for those seeking a reliable and gentle shaving option, particularly for sensitive skin. While there are some criticisms regarding potential irritations and effectiveness for certain hair types, the overall sentiment leans positively toward its comfort and ease of use.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Easy to use and provides a great shave
Honestly I thought the same and then I tried it and I’ll never go back.
It’s actually pretty hard to cut yourself.
Cost-effective with long-lasting blades
Double edge safety razors are the pinnacle of shaving technology to the extent that cheap Chinese knockoff handles are BIFL.
Safety razor + blades is truly BuyItForLife! I switched several years ago.
Gentle on sensitive skin
Laser Ultra. Mild & very smooth.
Thanks, this is useful.
Are Gillette razor holders recyclable?
Mild and smooth shaving experience
thanks :) Laser Ultra is a much better blade for this razor, than the 7'o' clock SP...
Mild shaving experience is appreciated
It’s fairly ubiquitous and not terribly expensive.
Provides a smooth shaving experience
Found a 2 blade Gillete disposable decided to use it. Damn Smooth too! No text content
it worked damn good I would say. It was fun to use a disposable razor after awhile. Have fun!
Comfortable shave with minimal irritation
I haven’t cut myself with a fusion, I never get razor burn, razor bumps, feels goooood on the face, smoothest shave ever next to a straight razor, my cheeks feel baby butt smooth.
Great for close shaves
Fusion is a game changer in getting an absolute close shave.
Provides a better shave than multi-blade razors
I'm so tired of disposable razors that only last for 2-4 uses before going dull and shredding my skin.
You get a better shave with the Sensor than with any 5 or 6 blade (how hilarious is that!) razor.
Provides a smoother shave than other razors
Shaves smoother than any other razor I've ever tried.
Nicks are extremely rare, I never get razor burn, and I never get ingrown hairs, anymore.
Gentle on the skin
It is the gentlest razor I have ever used and still cuts pretty well.
Less likely to clog
Personally my favorite Gillette cartridge ever made is the Gillette Sensor.
Convenient for travel
I've used the Gillette SkinGuard when traveling before. It worked fine.
Convenient for users with limited time
He is correct I would say lol it does take longer which can be an inhibiting factor with shaving in the morning if youre in a hurry.
Provides a smooth shave with minimal irritation
Exactly the same as me. I used a Mach 3 for decades, and it always gave me a smooth, close, nearly irritation-free shave.
I'd add that for me, in addition to what these good people have said, price and all of the waste associated with cartridge razors keep me from looking back.
Convenient for quick shaves
I know I can shave and wont accidently slice my face open
Good for sensitive skin
More razors does not = closer shave.. usually it just equates to irritating skin.
Long-lasting with proper care
I got ingrown hairs all the time when I used cartridges. in the 12 or so years since I switched to DE, I've gotten maybe 2.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Can cause irritation
No effect on the irritation though.
That it causes irritation.
Disposable razors create plastic waste
Switch to a safety razor! No plastic just razor blades
Not as close a shave as other razors
the shave isn’t nearly as close as the Mach5.
Can cause razor burn and bumps for some users
Many people get razor bumps or burn with the Fusion.
Maybe try hot towelling before you shave if you ever do decide to use a cartridge again.
Overpriced compared to competitors
Personally, I find the new Gillette stuff to be overpriced.
Not as effective for some hair types
3 blades can’t even cut my facial hair, even if I steam my face and apply shaving cream
Multiple blades can trap hair and become ineffective
The only thing multiple blades do is trap hair and make themselves useless before they're even dull.
Can cause razor burn and irritation
I only use canned if traveling
Any more blades than that gives me more razor burn than a DE, and clogs faster.
Blades can be overpriced
The Mach3 is actually getting worse year by year.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Preference for double-edged razors
If you saw the double edge razor, you wouldn’t think it’s from Gillette because there is no big noticeable iconic text that they use for their 5 blades.
Discussion on the effectiveness of multi-blade vs single blade
Fusion imo is the best and will remain to be the best close up shaver on the market today.
I believe there was a big advantage in going from 1 to 2.
Comparison of KCG blades with other Gillette blades.
there is a huge thread on this question over there with microscope photographs of various blades to compare them.
They are also quite cheap. Last time I purchased they were around $10 for a set of 100 on Amazon.
these KCG blades are an obvious rebrand and mark up for profit blade.
User preferences for different types of blades.
i liked them.
Discussion about the specific product's features and comparisons
I really like the look and feel of the thing and I’m happy I bought it.
So glad you posted a review! Initially I only saw the unboxing video pop up on YouTube and thought to myself, "I need the full Cosmo review, too".
I popped the unboxing video up and then played with the thing for a while before getting around to using it and writing something up.
I would expect the blades to be one of Gillette's own products out of Russia, most likely the Gillette Platinum since the box mentions a platinum coating.
Discussion about differences in razor blade coatings
Theoretically, this affects how smooth and durable the final product is.
Is one typically sharper or stronger than another?
Is there a best or is it skin type? There are also a yellow one, super 7?
You gotta try them for yourself and evaluate.
Razor has been relaunched with different branding
Best multiblade cartridge razor out there.
Perceptions of cartridge razors vs safety razors
They’re worse for your skin as well.
Would you recommend the mach3?

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion about different shaving techniques and tools
Cheaper and a better shave.
A light drag across the skin is all that is needed.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Different techniques and tools discussed for shaving
Because there’s less stuff long enough to clog the multi-blade cartridge, it’s easier to clean and lasts longer.
I found I spend too much time with the 3-5 blade razors just clearing out between the blades.
Discussion on shaving techniques
Happy Deepawali folks..
I find that riding the guard is better practice if you have an aggressive razor like the Stirling.
Steep angle shaving as shown in that link is the same as riding the guard.
Discussion about razor placements in stores
Every time I go to a super market like Walmart or Target, the safety razors are on the bottom shelf and there's usually only one stocked.
Discussion about switching to safety razors
You will get a better shave and diminish your reliance on disposable bulky plastic razors.
Discussion about shaving preparation techniques
It is normal to do a couple of passes with a safety razor.
Discussion on compatibility of modern blades with vintage razors
The blades seemed to have a more rounded shape back then compared to the rectangular blades of today
Modern blades were designed to fit older razors
The overall shape is still the same. Modern blades will work fine in a vintage razor.
Modern blades work great in it.
Discussion on various brands of razor blades
I have thick hair, and I only shave every other day, so I need some **sharp** blades.
7'O Clocks Black, Nacet and Platinums are very similar if not the same.
You might want to take a look at another persons viewpoint.
My favorite are Gillette super blue, not to be confused with the silver blues.
Discussion about the origins and production of KCG blades.
They are sharp but quite gentle.
KCG blades are made in Russia.
they say they are made in China.
Acknowledgment of well-researched content
Just wanted to say this is a great, well researched post! I’ll have to read that paper as soon as I have a chance.
Discussion on switching brands for cost savings
Cheapest place to buy Gillette razor reffils
Switching to another brand (Dorco) will yield much more significant savings than trying to find Gillette on sale somewhere.
Discussion about the transition from DE razors to disposables
Cartridges aren't actually that bad when used correctly.... most of us just never really learned how to shave.
Comment on the cost-effectiveness of safety razor blades
There was this box of Derby's on amazon for like $13 Canadian monopoly money. It's like 13 cents a shave. It's so cheap.
Discussion on the experience of switching to safety razors
I’ve been really trying to switch to safety razor for a daily shave simply cause I love doing things old school and its fun and challenging and im learning a new skill.
the enjoyment of participating in the ritual of wetshaving along with the adventure of building the necessary skills involved has won me over.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Varied user experiences with different razor blades
Lots of nicks and had to do multiple passes to get a somewhat smooth result, yet not even close to what I got with Wilkinson's or even Gillette's.
They work great for me, feels super sharp like a Feather.
Bics and they were above average but not as good Feathers or Personna Lab Blues.
They tug more than I did in my teens.
Exploration of different shaving tools and methods
If it comes out of a can, tube. Then you don’t need a brush right away.
Preference for non-Gillette products
That’s just a blatant lie; I can almost dry shave with a Gillette multi-blade razors.
Discussion on Gillette's business model and market practices
Razors and blades model – why Gillette did not implement it
It had to be something market practice related IMO.
I ended up using Gillette cartridges for about 10 years before switching to king of shaves cartridges, then double-edged another 10 years later.
Discussion about blade ownership and production
Complete list of Gillette manufactured double edge razor blades Hey guys, I'm trying to put a list together of all the current DE razor blades that ~~Gillette~~ P&G makes or owns.
"Makes or owns" is a little unclear. I don't think Gillette makes any DE blades.
Since you seem to know what you're talking about, can I assume that all the PPI blades are the same?
Not even close. They are very, very different. I really like Gillette Silver Blues and Polsilver SIs, but Astra SPs - not so much.
Environmental concerns about razor longevity in humid conditions
Can't say this for everyone, but I'm pretty sure my cartridge razors weren't lasting is because they lived in a steamy bathroom that was getting used for three to four showers a day.
Discussion about safety razors as an alternative
Overall: A Much better shave from Boldking razor than I’ve ever gotten without any skin irritation and no issues with clogging or affordability.
Nice! You should check out safety razors too. Best shave I’ve ever had and blades are like 20¢
Look at safety razors too. That review by Sharp is deeply flawed. He's comparing a 3 blade razor by
