The Fusion Climb Quickdraw Set with Wire Gate Carabiner is designed for climbers seeking a reliable and efficient tool for their climbing adventures. This set includes six quickdraws, each featuring a compact 11cm nylon sling rated for 5000 lbs, making them ideal for various climbing applications. Feedback highlights the benefits of the snag-free design, with one user stating, "the only place I really notice a big difference between expensive biners and cheap biners is on the rope side of alpine draws - having a snag-free biner is awesome for when you extend it." Additionally, the keylock feature has been praised for enhancing cleaning, with another user mentioning the ease it brings when clipping and cleaning. However, some users noted concerns about hook noses hanging up on hangers, which can hinder performance in steep routes. Overall, the Fusion Climb Quickdraw Set is highly recommended for climbers looking for a lightweight and effective solution, with many users appreciating its performance despite minor drawbacks.

Positive Feedback

What isn't personal preference is the hook noses, especially on the bolt side carabiners. They can get hung up on hangers and be a total pain in the ass, especially when cleaning steep routes.

If that’s all the feedback you want - anything UIAA rated for climbing will be fine.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on wire vs solid gate carabiners
I just wanna hear your opinions on what to get.
I used to care about solid gates and gate flutter, but I stopped giving a toodleboot about that.
Solid gates that arent kegates are the worst option.
No, it's not a big deal.
Discussion on general quality of quickdraws
Sounds like the beal's draws are a very good option for me
Discussion on non-name brand climbing gear
Thoughts on Amazon Budget gear? Just curious to hear your thoughts on all of the not name brand gear available on amazon.
Discussion about the brand's certification status
I think that has changed.
In march of 2015, Fusion may not have been certified, but at least as of november of 2016, Fusion Climb has their logo in the "UIAA SAFETY LABEL HOLDERS" section.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Preference for belay bags for catching falls
the bag will usually come off the ground when I catch a fall too, and I can still give a soft catch w/o worrying about flying into the first draw.
Advantages of using sandbags for belaying
The advantage I see with sandbags is potentially unclipping them when the climber is higher, if the climb gets draggy further up and you don’t actually want more resistance.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
General recommendations for quickdraws
I totally agree that it’s not worth the risk, but where are you getting QuickDraws for $5 a piece?
Advice on rope lengths for climbing gyms
deal, if it goes away, go for a Sterling VR9, an edelrid eco boa, a Sterling Velocity or a mammut eternity classic.
Great advice. One thing I would revise--check with your gym on the rope length you'll need.
Discussion about belay etiquette for beginners
I don’t want to unknowingly do something that makes a bad belay partner.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion on inspecting quickdraws for safety
Majority of them look to be in great working condition too.
Use your own head! Also watch hownot2 to understand the material youre life depends on.
A biner is 7-10 dollars. I wouldn't risk my or my partner's life.
The biners look fine. Do check for sharp edges.
Concerns over sharp edges on biners
The here have been accidents of cut ropes from permadraws resulting in death from sharp permas that didn’t actually feel all that sharp.
Maybe they made him sign a waiver.
Caution against using Amazon for climbing gear purchases unless from trusted brands
This is a product I would not trust my life on, but it is being advertised as a climbing rope.
If we find things like the rope you mentioned we should report the seller.
Discussion on mech designs and weapon systems
I always Wondered why Mechs with Hands don't use them more, or have a System like AC6's Weapons Bay.
Some new mech designs do have swappable hand mounted weapons, and I think one quickdraw carries a backpack of guns?
Aye, [the Quickdraw QKD-8X](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Quickdraw) uses a Lift Hoist (*probably* the "backpack" you're thinking of) and triple-strength myomer to carry a variety of different handheld guns.
At least one variant of the [Axman](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Axman) and another of the [Quickdraw](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Quickdraw) do exactly that.
