Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Comparison of different Planet Eclipse marker lines
Tell me about each line, please.
The LV is the latest version of the Ego and is so much fun to shoot.
Discussion on battery reliability and upgrades
Why are paintball markers still using 9v batteries? Haven't played paintball in 15+ yrs and was browsers some newer markers for fun (Planet Eclipse).
It is considered a very desirable upgrade to convert an angel to a 9v.
Discussion on historical markers and their branding
Old School Planet Eclipse Markers -- Am I Going Crazy? I remember having paintball magazines back in the day, with large ads for PE custom markets with anno and custom parts.
They were not going by PE, just Eclipse at the time. So Eclipse Angel, Eclipse Sterling, Eclipse *gun* is what you should search for.
Like others have said, they were just "Eclipse" back then.
There was, to the very best of my knowledge, never an Eclipse Blazer.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion of marker modifications and conversions
The marker shoots very much like an LV1.6, I don't entirely know how the LV1.5/LVR previously fired but I would imagine it was very similar and that there isn't much difference at all.
For the record, this is my LVR. I sent the marker off with an open-ended timeframe, and was kept in the loop with DMs and pictures/videos throughout the process.
Really solid job on this.
Wow, this is some seriously cool engineering.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion of personal preference for different marker types
Nothing functionally wrong with it, I just prefer spools more than poppets and thus looking to either sell or trade
That’s a great deal.. I’d grab it if I had the $ to blow right now lol.
Personal upgrade experiences
It was time to step up my game and get something better.
Planet Eclipse is the gold standard by which every other company is compared when it comes to markers.
Have fun and enjoy!
Interest in comparing different Planet Eclipse markers
Now that I’m getting back to the sport and have a more variety of what I can get, what planet eclipse do y’all recommend?
The Etha 2 is the go-to choice if you just want a general purpose speedball gun.
160r or 170r both are gonna shoot the same as one another and they'll shoot similar enough to the rest of the PE catalog minus the geo 4.
Etha 2 is enough, 170R is a beauty, CS2 do you really need it?
Discussion of differences between Planet Eclipse marker lines
Planet Eclipse differences? I've recently gotten back into the sport.
Thanks for the run down. Poppits and spools? What's the difference functionally, I've heard those terms often?
Confusion around marker lineup and features
I have been out of the loop in paintball for almost 5 years so I assume that these markers all came out at different times and that's why some have different features independent of price point, but it seems like there should be more even progression as you increase from $400 up to $1500 in regard to features.
Why do people associate the FRN body with low quality? It's lower in cost, but that doesn't necessarily make it worse.
Confusion about Planet Eclipse marker options and their differences
I'm a big fan of PE I wanted to know the difference between Planet Eclipse Markers, is there like a Timeline, now I'm so confused between Geos, LVR, Gteck, etc.
Thanks, this is really useful! They should have something like this in their website, it's so confusing, but now I can start looking for my new marker.
Geos and Egos are the premier lines. (Spool valve and poppet valve)
Eclipse basically has two lines of guns and has moved from a yearly release cycle (Ego08/09/10) to a periodic update.
Discussion on marker tiers and pricing
I'm looking to purchase a planet eclipse marker, but I am unsure of the tiers of quality around them.
Their current "low-end" is the Etha2; "mid-end" is the Gtek and Gtek 160R; "high-end" is the LV1/1.1/LVR and CS1/1.5/CSR.
ANS, Amazon, and TMG have LV1.1s for under a grand.
They are totally different markers from the start.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Trade discussions for higher-end markers
Looking to trade this for a higher end PE Marker (CS3, GEO R5, LV2, 180R) or older models + maybe like a tank, hopper, & mask or something
This sim setup is worth around the value of the mid range of what he is asking for in trade, given that it works as listed.
Seems like a pretty good trade for an LV 2/180r or 170r+tank+loader
Etha 3 planet Eclipse paintball marker. Has only seen about 3 cases of paint with no hard falls.
Discussion on equivalence of Etha 3 and 180R performance
I guarantee you I'd be on equal ground with someone with an Etha 3 that's at the same skill level as me.
Discussion on the evolution of markers over time
Have an Ego 11. Those still decent? How much have the markers changed since then?
User prefers alternative markers with more features
Most parts are the same but the LV1 will have more firing modes that the etek 5 lack.
Discussion on marker reliability
Which marker should I buy and why is one better than the other?
I'd go with the etha.
