Snoop's Take

The Spyder Victor Semi-Auto Paintball Marker in Forest/Green is designed for players looking for an affordable yet effective paintball shooting experience. With its air-efficient EKO Valve System, this marker can shoot up to 1500 shots from a 20 oz CO2 tank, making it a reliable choice for both beginners and casual players. Consumer sentiment around the Spyder Victor is mixed, with many users praising its affordability and ease of maintenance. One user noted, "any Spyder will fill the role," indicating that it serves well for casual play, while others pointed out the availability of affordable o-ring kits and helpful resources for upkeep. However, some feedback highlighted limitations such as its inability to handle brittle tournament paint without breaks, with one user stating, "they can’t shoot the brittle tourney paint without breaks." Overall, the Spyder Victor Semi-Auto Paintball Marker is recommended for entry-level players or those looking for a budget-friendly option. While it may not compete with higher-end models, it offers a decent performance for its price point, especially for those new to the sport.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Availability of affordable o-ring kits
There are o-ring rebuild kits for these on ebay. $9.25 with free shipping.
Recommendations for helpful tools like tech mats
Relatedly, I highly recommend investing in an Exalt tech mat with o-ring sizing grooves.
Cost-effective o-ring sizes available
All the main o-rings are tank o-ring sized, which is size 015, you can get 100 packs for pretty cheap
Easy to maintain and parts are readily available
any Spyder will fill the role.
it’s cheap it runs forever you can shoot it pretty fast
Standard O-rings available for easy replacement
You should be able to replace all the seals in that marker with just standard -015 buna.
eBay has o ring kits for under $20 that will have enough o rings to rebuild it 20x over.
You can rebuild a spyder with standard tank o rings which you can get at lowes.
Simple maintenance for markers
I was cleaning out my closet and found it. It had a few paintballs lodged in it but I got them out of the barrel.
Availability of manuals and online resources
If you youtube it that's gonna help out.
Marker shoots paintballs effectively
Thoughts of the Spyder MR100 marker? It will be my first marker I can call my own.
Pro: It does, indeed, shoot paintballs
Affordable option for beginners
But if you clean it often, use good paint, man that marker can last a while.

Cannot shoot brittle tourney paint without breaks
Looking back on the spyder style markers there are some markers have popped up in my memory as being great spyder style markers; the spyder vs2 and Azodin Zenith 2
No, they can’t shoot the brittle tourney paint without breaks.
Went paintballing with a few friends.
Some of them get real brittle and turn nasty like this.
Made low-quality guns
They always made shit guns, they just used to be the cheapest “real” paintball markers.
Common issues with safety and paintballs bursting
the safety getting stuck that you can't push to the firing mode and paintballs bursting after a few shots.
Low quality compared to competitors
Spyders are not very good neither is a tippmann, as far as having a 'super nice marker' goes.
It isn't very fun when you have to use the worn out old rental guns against people with $1,200 professional grade guns.
Not recommended compared to higher quality markers
Save up and buy a quality marker.
Probably better to use your $$$ elseware, it's probably an ok gun but I bought a spyder vs2 a while ago and it was pure junk and I regret ever buying it.
Perceived as a less functional milsim marker
It's a marker.

Discussion about paintball markers and their classification
Ghost guns = paintball markers? Don’t tell me they are referring to paintball markers as ghost guns now?
“Let’s throw in this hatchet from their shed for good measure”
Discussion about preferred paintball markers
spyder victor VS tippmann cronus So I just got into paintball and I was just wondering if the spyder victor or the tippmann cronus was better.
Neither, but if I had to choose it would be the cronus.
And I have to say the spider It’s more suited to you play style
Importance of masks in paintball
Mask is more important.
Discussion about the value of old Spyder markers
Can anyone tell me what these Spyder markers are? And are they worth it?
$50 is too much for these. $20 for each marker and the rest is pretty worthless.
Those are really old Spyders. Early 2000’s. I’m guessing the tanks are expired on top of that. I wouldn’t pay more than $100 for all.
It's a Spyder Rodeo and a JT Excellerator 4.0
Discussion about finding O-ring kits
Trying to rebuild my dad's just like this he loves his marker and would rather not get s new 1 but can't find any kits or info about another marker I can get a kit 4
You think this set should work?
Do not use colored orings. They dont last as long

Discussion about building custom Spyder paintball markers
Currently shooting between 150-200psi. Not sure of fps… I don’t have a chrono.
Man. I've been toying with the idea of building a premium Spyder for recball shenanigans.
I made a balanced valved spyder Amg also!
Discussion about paintballing experiences and tactics
it can be a lot of fun when the whole group is just kitted out in some pump action rentals
the most fun i ever had paintballing is when a few friends agreed to load single-shot only
Most fun I had was paint balling on 4 wheelers with a driver and a shooter on each one
Pump action guns are best for this. They're not as powerful and you have to be a bit more tactical.

Discussion about budget and gear recommendations for paintball
So far I'm interested in the Tippmann TMC Elite Paintball Marker and the Spyder Mr100
The mini or its counterpart the axe is really good, the axe is one of the most user friendly guns to take apart, I’ve been using it the last month and it’s great.
Your money will go a lot further and your gear won't immediately tank in value.
Mini gs u posted will be all u need unless you want to go magfed but the mini can be found easily for under 150 used but your choice
Discussion about the high prices of used paintball markers compared to new ones
Everywhere I look, they sell it almost at the price where I can them buy new with guarantee.
I remember buying some really high end stuff for less than a quarter of new.
Comments on the used paintball market being expensive in different regions
Here in UK markers can be had for relatively cheap.
Well you're in Germany so smaller market that use to be very unfriendly to paintball.
I got back into the sport with a new etek5 for $500 and the thing still rips perfectly fine.
Discussion about cost of o-ring kits
the kits are such a rip off is there a cheaper option?
Discussion about the availability of Spyder models on resale sites
www.shopgoodwill.com has a steady stream of Spyders for sale.
Discussion about the history of Spyder markers.
any help is greatly appreciated -paintball noob
Pretty much the entire group I started with we're shooting Spyders.
my first marker was the TL+.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Nostalgia for older Spyder models
Beautiful. Reminds me of my glory days. Thanks for sharing.
Man I really miss those older Spyders.
Anyone remember rocking triggers on Spyders? 😂
Spyder Saturday?
Discussion about Spyder's current market presence
Growing up I always had my eyes on upgrading to the spyder Electra (from an xtra).
their three modern versions of the Victor, Xtra, and Fenix are still widely available from most large paintball retailers.
Discussion about competitors and current market dynamics
Empire still makes comparable entry to intermediate level markers for speedball and recball.
Comparison of blowback designs
While those two are decent and serviceable, neither are what I would usually recommend to a new player, if they can afford something better.
General discussion of paintball gear and community
Try to cultivate a love of the game.
They have more range at a lower fps and hurt much more.
even the range rentals, went through FPS testing.
Nostalgia for earlier Spyder models
my first gun actually was a spyder TLX
My first marker was a Spyder TL+. They're extremely simple markers to maintain.
