Snoop's Take

The COMFEE' Stainless Steel Electric Kettle is a 1.7-liter capacity kettle designed for quick and efficient boiling of water, making it ideal for tea, coffee, and instant meals. With a powerful 1500W heating element, it promises a fast boil time of 5 to 7 minutes while ensuring safety features like auto shut-off and boil-dry protection. Consumer feedback highlights the kettle's quick heating capabilities, with users noting, "it’s a great kettle for the price." Many appreciate its compact size and ease of cleaning, mentioning that vinegar or cream of tartar can effectively tackle mineral buildup. However, some users have expressed concerns about mineral deposits affecting the taste of lighter teas, indicating that while it performs well, it might not be optimal for all tea types. Overall, the COMFEE' Stainless Steel Electric Kettle comes highly recommended for those seeking a reliable, efficient, and affordable kettle. Its positive user sentiment and practical features make it a strong contender in the electric kettle category.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Quick to heat up water
I see no real advantage to the bluetooth.
I've also used it for cup ramen and hot cocoa
It's a great kettle for the price.
It always grows back after I boil water in it.
Perfect size for personal use
I have the non-blutooth version, and I love it. I also drink coffee though, so the goose neck was on
Great value for the price
can’t beat the price 👍🏼👍🏼
Easy to clean with vinegar
Pour vinegar and water together (50-50 is fine, play around a bit if you want) up to at least half capacity.
Easy to clean with vinegar or citric acid
It happens everywhere, even if you use filtered water. Doesn't hurt anything, but if you want to clean it, just boil a bit of vinegar with some water in your kettle, let it sit for a while, and rinse it out.
Had the same issue. I've just poured some white vinegar, waited for several minutes, and then used soap and scrubbed any stubborn bits.
We live in a hard water area that leaves our kettle like this. I tried vinegar but found the best thing is a tablespoon of citric acid + fill kettle to minimum line, boil and tip water away, give it a rinse and it comes up good as new with no soap or scrubbing or weird taste :)
Easy to use and versatile
I have an electric kettle, and its one of the best fucking appliances Ive had the privilage of using.
Electric kettles save time and are convenient
Switching to electric changed my life. Saves time and easier to get the temp you like.
I wouldn't do coffee without my electric kettle with temperature control. It's honestly such a huge convenience.
Easy to clean with cream of tartar
If you put cream of tartar in the pot with water and let it boil, rinse it out, and then boil fresh water to sanitize it it’ll come off.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Minerals may affect taste of lighter teas
When my kettle looks like the picture, I find it makes my lighter flavored teas taste funny.
Mineral buildup affects kettle performance
Brand new electric kettle has this buildup after very first use.
It will come right back though.
been there, did that, and it doesn't last.
some of the spots just didn’t come off at all unless I left the remover in the kettle for several hours.

Discussion about ethical manufacturing of kettles
Does anybody know what brand would be ok to buy without enriching Americans?
I cared more that it was made ethically since stuff like this is notoriously made under bad conditions by bad companies.

Discussion about alternative heating methods for tea
Electric kettle that has NO plastic inside/exposed to heating? My dad uses a steel stovetop kettle he’s had for decades, that has had the spout opening mechanism broken for years for which he rigged up a DIY replacement that makes it super easy to burn yourself pouring.
I give you the Turkish Tea Maker: https://sakiproducts.com/products/tea-maker This thing is pretty great, we’ve had one for over a year and it’s been completely trouble-free.
A samovar! It's also part of the Russian tea tradition. They are excellent for large or long gatherings.
Hey this looks cool! Is it double-walled/insulated?

It's worked like a charm and I don't regret it.
You can replace the cheaper one much more easier even if it breaks.
The Amazon kettle is still going strong btw. It's probably been about 7 years now.
my Amazon Basics kettle lasted less than four years before the lid broke.

It seems like every kettle I find on the internet is made in China and has terrible reviews.

Still making a perfect cuppa.
I do wish the water capacity was a tad higher for two big cups of coffee.
Discussion on the prevalence of electric kettles in the US
Americans don't have kettles? What do they use instead?
It really boggles my yuro mind that those are not part of basic kitchen appliances in the us
Tbh I thought electric tea kettles were common? I use mine for French press coffee.
Some do, some dont. Mostly in the country people use gas, in the city its more electric.
