Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Electric kettle saves time and energy
I have an electric kettle, and its one of the best fucking appliances Ive had the privilage of using.
Reliable performance over time
We've had a KitchenAid electric kettle that's been going strong for 7 years with heavy usage, multiple times a day.
User-friendly operation
It’s a kettle.
Impressive design and build quality
Sadly, well-known brands haven’t created a true stainless steel kettle despite high consumer demand.
This is the ONLY one that we've found (and we've looked!) that has no plastic anywhere near the water.
Great performance and functionality
This thing is phenomenal, no exaggeration.
Better than anticipated and it gets a workout here.
Excellent pouring with no leaks
No leaks, excellent pouring - not much splashing
Impressive design with nice blue light
Works as it says on the box, nice blue light when it's dark.
Durable design
Decided to go with a whistling dumb pot with a spout for durability.
I love the look, but I personally hate kettles where the handles get hot!
Accurate temperature control
It is pretty accurate, within a degree or 2 C.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Issues with glued design
They do not work. The kettle is heating the water to 212 degrees regardless of what setting you select.
Annoying beep sound during operation
a kettle that doesn't wake up your entire household when you just want to boil water
The dumbest thing is that it beeps not only when it finishes heating, but also when you press the start button.
Handle gets hot during use
Burn my hand for a cup of tea, no thanks.
Poor vent placement
did these geniuses put a vent right below the handle.....?
Yes looks like they did.....
Temperature sensor inaccuracy
Considering it's 15 degrees hotter right at the time that it's finished heating/is switching off, to me that's a sensor inaccuracy.
The heating element is still hot though, so it keeps heating the water, even though it has reached your requested temps.
Kettle overshoots temperature
15c is pretty bad unless u are okay with making it work.
Both kettles are overpriced
Your opinion on Breville vs kitchenaid Hey guys! I was just wondering if anyone has had a
I think both are very overpriced.
Kettles/infuser combos are hard to clean and prone to staining
the two-in-one unfortunately will stain over time, especially if you steep scented teas/herbal teas in it, and it's a nightmare to clean.
Kettle fails to boil and indicates a fault
HELP: KitchenAid Artisan Kettle won't boil, blinks five times instead
Worked fine this morning; can't find anything about the issue online
It’s a fault in the system somewhere. There is some sort of water damage. It’s a safety feature.
Thinks you have a broken fuse or connection on the kettle body or base.

Soft plastics are pretty bad to drink hot liquids from but you probably inhale more cancer causing chemicals on a daily basis by just existing in society than you ingest from hard plastics.
Even more reason not to compound one’s exposure with part plastic kettles.
I’m a cancer doctor and my kettle has plastic in it.
Descaling can resolve kettle issues
