All water contact surfaces are stainless steel.
all the water contact spots are metal.
I don't want any plastic parts touching the water.
I like electric because it heats up quickly and automatically turns off, but may go back to stove top to reduce waste.
Quick heating time
It's quick to come up to temp and at just under a liter, it's the perfect size for me.
It's quick to heat up and just the right amount for me.
I've had it about 3.5 years and use it several times a day.
Perfect size for personal use
Just the right size that I can fill it all the way up for a tea pot if needed.
Good value for the price
I really like the pre-set buttons too. I don't have to think about thermometers or anything else while I'm brewing tea, and I appreciate it a lot.
Having all the presets for different teas is fantastic as well.
Stainless steel water contact surfaces
stainless steel helps with keeping the water hot longer.
Quick boiling time
I'm currently between these two which are at least from reputable brands and UL-certified...
Affordable price
very reliable, quite affordable too.
Stainless steel contact surfaces prevent mold
Is this mold or rust forming in my electric kettle? Safe to use still?
Why did I let myself worry so long about this haha I have vinegar sitting like 2 feet away from my kettle 😂 thanks again.
Fast heating time
Heats fast and pours just fine.
It is too slow to heat the water (lower wattage due to smaller capacity).
Enjoyable experience with the kettle
I love my Cosori and the cuisinart broke on me once

Heats water quickly
heats water quickly
Works great, works quick.
Good pouring capability
It’s not painfully slow or anything.
Reliable performance over time
Haven't been using it for too long, but so far have had a really good experience and it seems like a very solid kettle with a lot of functions you'd usually get at a higher price point.
Very reliable for years and has the auto-off once it reaches boiling.
Simplicity of design
I have the Cosori, but I never use it because it is slow to boil, loud, and the pour is really slow.
Good reviews and reputation
it seems to have good reviews.
Durable and reliable performance
I have it and have had no problems with it.
Easier to handle despite fast pouring
I have one and the only complaint I have is that it pours hard and fast.

Annoying loud beeping
It drives me crazy.
A very loud beep with no ability to adjust volume.
Potential quality issues with variable temperature kettles under $100
You can get a reliable kettle to just boil water for very cheap just about anywhere.
Feels low quality
My friend has a COSORI, and it feels really low quality to me.
No visual indication when ready
The biggest issue I have with it is that the only way to tell it's ready is a fairly quiet beep.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Comparison to other COSORI kettle models
My main question is on the difference between these two other than the Bluetooth, and if it is even worth buying such a more expensive kettle when I am still very new to tea.
Discussion about kettle features and comparisons
Opinions on the Cuisinart Digital Gooseneck Kettle I am looking to purchase a stainless steel gooseneck kettle and was wondering if anyone owns this specific one? Do you enjoy it, is it a good option?
I own a stainless steel Cosori gooseneck I am happy with, looking at that one on Amazon it seems you can change the temp by one degree at a time, which is better than my Cosori even if I don't see the need for it, and also hold the water temp for 30 mins.
Discussion about unique features of different kettle brands
what unique features do each of these kettles have that the others don’t?
Cuisinart is a good workhorse at a good price point, so I like it.
It's the best performance to value ratio, in my opinion.
the Saki Luna seems perfect.
Discussion on kettle features and preferences
I like the [Stagg EKG Electric Kettle](https://fellowproducts.com/products/stagg-ekg-electric-pour-over-kettle?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=16199192624&utm_content=132007553734&utm_term=&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ag%3A16199192624%3A132007553734%3A581790732438&nb_adtype=&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=dsa-439488896282&nb_mi=&nb_pc=&nb_pi=&nb_ppi=&nb_placement=&nb_si={sourceid}&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&gclid=CjwKCAjwv4SaBhBPEiwA9YzZvCIZtQQfpN2AivFAoDFVQ_nA1xR5DSs4UWnrfYH9OB9vx1Dk3SLmBBoCZcMQAvD_BwE) Tea Kettle of course, its pretty. But I am having a hard time justifying a near 300% increase in price (compared to the $70 option) for it simply to be 'more pretty'
My advice is to get one that isn't gooseneck for a faster pour if you're gongfu brewing puerh, or pour from the top and not the spout(this is what I do). [this corvo ekg](https://www.amazon.com/Fellow-Electric-Variable-Temperature-Stopwatch/dp/B07DTMZL56) I think would be a better choice, or it's what I would have gotten had I known.
Whisper quiet, even when it's holding at a boil, intuitive, and really pleasant to use.

Discussion on preferences for gooseneck kettles
I'd prefer a gooseneck kettle if at all possible, but beyond that no real preferences.
The Fellow is now about 3 years old and is holding up quite well, but again, it takes extra care to keep it looking nice.
Some people have amazing experiences with them, but there's a nontrivial amount of people whose fail, and some of them complain about the dial on it not working over time.
My favorite part is the ability to control the temp of your water and that it holds that temp for 30 minutes.

Comments about the price and features of other kettle brands.
The Fellow brand kettles (Corvo and Stagg) have a little silicone washer where the temperature probe sticks up on the bottom.
So it's all stainless inside aside from a silicone washer? It is significantly more expensive than others. What justifies the price?
It’s expensive because it has 1-degree temperature increments and is the only kettle I know of that goes low enough for gyokuro. And you’re paying for the design aesthetics.
Seconding Fellow. I've had my Fellow kettle for years and it still looks great and functions marvelously.
Discussion on cleaning techniques for kettles
I've already tried washing it out with hot soapy water, but this picture is what I still have left.
Vinegar works best. Happens to my kettle quite often.
Discussion on gooseneck kettle preferences
I'm looking to get a gooseneck electric kettle (I've had the cuisinart 1.7 L for a while and it's fine but doesn't pour as well as I'd like).
What do you mean doesn't pour as well as you like?
I thought a gooseneck would do better with smaller volumes of water, but I've seen people point out the slow pour issue with gooseneck kettles especially with the Fellow Stagg.
Discussion about brand trust and Amazon reviews
Love hearing this. I was unfamiliar with the brand and we all know you can't really trust Amazon reviews. Thanks!
Discussion on price vs. quality for kettles under $100
Best electric kettle $80 or less? Hello! I was hoping for some advice on an electric kettle.
Consideration of other kettle brands
Wouldn't be a issue for myself.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about other types of kettles and tea traditions.
It’s a three part electric kettle. The electric base, the main boiling pot, and the warming pot.
They are excellent for large or long gatherings.
Most teas do not want a full roiling boil.
You shouldn’t hit tea with full boiling water though, especially green and “white “ ones.
Discussion about CA Proposition 65 warnings and their meaning.
those have unfortunately become rather meaningless—there is no penalty for putting a warning on a product that doesn't need it, but the cost of failing to put it on a product that does need it can add up rapidly
Discussion on kettle materials and safety
I spent months on this search earlier in the year. Certain types of borosilicate glass are fine to heat water in, but if you leave the water boiling for too long, heat will transfer directly to the glass (as water cannot get hotter than 212F) and potentially shatter it, so pay attention.
Fellow has a silicone seal around the temp sensor in the water, so not 100%.
Yeah that's such a bummer, do you think the o ring used there is safe in boiling water?
Yeah, I was worried that because of the high temperature, chemicals get into water more easily. But every kettle has it I guess I just have to accept the risk.
Discussion about the lack of user reviews for COSORI kettles
Seems like no one is using COSORI kettles xD

Comments about the COSORI kettle model
All plastic will leach volatile hydrocarbons into water and especially when heated.
