Pork chops are another one that tastes amazing in a sous vide and pretty much suck other ways.
Creme brulle, cheesecake, lemon Curd on anything. Hollandaise.
I make lemon curd for my mother this way and she raves about it. Mascarpone cheese is also amazing with SV.
100%. Tbh I don’t use mine for meat because I can still make good meat in a cast iron or smoker. But anything involving potential curdling is where sous vide really shines.

The anova model you link is probably the best on the market in 2024.
Control via physical settings is effective
it can be controlled entirely by using the physical controls on it and that is what I use because frankly it's faster than using my phone.
Good value for beginner with low budget
From what I see it has a lot of positive reviews but there are a few negative (noise, and other problems) which are making me think about it twice.
The main advantage of the precision over the nano is it has 1000w heating element vs 750w the nano has.
Performs well for both precision and Nano models
Both work well. The nano does take a bit more time to heat up but it’s not very significant.
Since I didn't purchase it from an "authorized" seller, they basically said we'll send you the replacement impeller, but don't expect any further warranty service.

What is APP? Do you mean their phone app? You have to pay to use it? That's insane.
Connectivity issues with older models
Has it fixed the limited local memory issue because I'm so done with mine cutting out for 10s every 5 minutes when using it
Noise level concerns with new models
the new Precision Cookers are rather noisy, so if choosing between those 2 based on noise, it's not a huge difference.
App requires connection to the device
What is the point of Anova app? 😂 Just got my Anova Precision for Christmas. I'm very impressed with sous vide as a concept but I'm at a loss for the point of the app 😂
IMO, find it useless. I use manual controls and the Joule App for times/temps.
I set it up, set the temp, and come back in 4 hours or whatever. I don't need an app for that.
Noisy motor and inconsistent temperatures
It's half the size that the original models are, it heats leagues slower, it can't maintain consistent temps (setting it to 185 means 175-185 apparently), now maxes at 197 degrees (previously 200+), and most annoying of all sounds like a tiny banshee screeching the entire time it runs.
I would call back to get a different rep and just ask for a replacement. I wouldn't mention the product videos at all and just mention the problems: noisy motor (possibly bad bearings?) and inconsistent temps.

I believe you can toss some sweetened condensed milk in as well to make dulce de leche.

Ooh, what’s your recipe for the salted caramel ones? I always salt my chocolate ones & they are amazing, but having a second flavor in the repertoire would be great!

I do have a question regarding the sous vide machine that I should buy, I have been looking for quite a few and I have a Budget of 200-250.
Users have mixed feelings about app reliance
On the one hand it's super annoying of them to do stupid shit like this, on the other hand I had my anova precision pro for years and couldn't get it to connect to wifi and was fine.

I don’t expect a company to be my device's guardian angel in perpetuity.

They'll just position it as a luxury good to justify the price.
I think you are correct, it will be positioned at the top end of the market but I think it will be tough to achieve the same premium as Gaggenau because a Sous Vide stick is not a display item in the same way as a Gaggenau oven is.
