Can't compare the noise since it's my first, but it's ridiculously quiet.

Another good use for the little mason jars and the sous vide are personal sized cheesecakes!

Realizing this is old, I could never recommend Anova to anyone now that the APP requires a subscription.
Physical controls are fast and reliable
I rarely use the app, it can be controlled entirely by using the physical controls on it and that is what I use because frankly it's faster than using my phone.

No problems. No complaints.
Both will control water temperature fine, even for pretty large baths, and both have similar bells and whistles.

it heats the water as quickly and accurately as the Joule but I hear the app sucks.
Performs well for sous vide cooking
I purchased the precision despite the negative reviews I read and it has performed flawlessly.
Use the money you saved to invest in a vacuum sealer - that will make a bigger difference than getting a slightly more powerful and advanced circulator.
Good for beginners
As for the noise with the nano, the new Precision Cookers are rather noisy, so if choosing between those 2 based on noise, it's not a huge difference.
Sturdy and reliable design
It's half the size that the original models are, it heats leagues slower, it can't maintain consistent temps.
Long-lasting performance over the years
I've had mine since 2017 and love it, but I appreciate the PSA for whenever it may give out.

Honestly, OP, all the main brands are fine. Anova, Joule, Inkbird, Breville, Instant Pot, whatever.
What is APP? Do you mean their phone app? You have to pay to use it? That's insane.
Discontinuation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality
Anova makes sous vide machines for cooking. It’s annoying they are discontinuing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth through their app for some of their older models.
On the one hand it's super annoying of them to do stupid shit like this, on the other hand I had my anova precision pro for years and couldn't get it to connect to wifi and was fine.
I understand them having to pay for software development, but the functionality that is there should absolutely be free.
Issues with connectivity and local memory
Has it fixed the limited local memory issue because I'm so done with mine cutting out for 10s every 5 minutes when using it
