What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Easy to clean non-stick pot
that makes sense I have an InstantPot with a stainless steel insert and I always burned my rice.
I am also looking for a quality rice cooker that uses a SS inner pot.
I have a stainless steel one and it’s great.
I love this Aroma so much, and even though I've only had it a year, it's working as well as the day I bought it. It's also so easy to clean!
Fluffy rice every time
You will be amazed at how the rice comes off as you scoop.
Once the cooker switch to warm I unplug and cover the top with a towel to keep vapor in.
Reliable rice cooker for affordable price
Owning a rice cooker has saved me so much time and money.
Makes more than enough rice for 2 people in one go. It’s like the apple product of rice cookers, one button.
Reliable performance over time
Never had a problem with our Aroma rice cooker and we’ve had it something like ten years.
Never had a problem, but i mostly cooked rice and other grains in it.
I think that Aroma makes damn good rice cookers. I have one I bought about twelve years ago that I still use frequently.
I'm a Korean and I grew up with rice cookers that were always $300+ with all sorts of features. My $
Good for small families or individuals
When I went off to college my grandma gave me a tiny little aroma and it was perfect!
Affordable option for college students
Do you need a 16 c. rice cooker. That’s a lot of rice. I have the Aroma in the picture and it works great.
Works well for small meals
I can't do that for this. So, is there a way to cook something on "high" level heat for that long, or recipes that require that heat ad time, or am I only going to be able to use the slow cooker function if I am only gone for a short amount of time?
Veggies don't overly mush so it feels more like a med to med/high setting.
Works well for cooking rice and steaming
Is this Aroma rice cooker a good product?
it works great. No problems.
Easy to use with simple operation
I love mine; works pretty good.
Use the clear cup that came with it to put the rice in.
Versatile for different cooking needs
Other than that minor feature, we're very happy with it.
Versatile for different recipes
Hi, I recently got a rice cooker from my mom's friend at work yesterday. The rice cooker that I have received is an Aroma ARC-363NG rice & grain cooker.
My favorite thing is measure out rice and water, then throw a whole buncha other stuff in it. And set it off.
Versatile for cooking different meals
I have some questions. I own an Aroma rice cooker if anyone has seen Buzzfeed’s Chef out of water the one where she uses the rice cooker, I have the same one.
I put one cup of rice and 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies (corn/carrot/pea/etc) in a rice cooker. Cooks the whole thing through.
Automatically switches to 'keep warm' mode
The rice cooker, even the simplest type, is designed to detect when the water had gone and then switch to warm.
Works well for jasmine rice
jasmine rice works great in mine, rinsed or not.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Leaves a hard and burnt crust at the bottom of the rice
the bottom is hard and kinda burnt-ish.
My instapot also left a hard crust at the bottom.
Some users report leaks in other brands
I've noticed that way more people buy black and decker so there seems to be reviews saying that the rice cooker leaks water but at the same time have a lot of good reviews as well
Perceived quality issues with competitor brands
Aroma. B&D products are garbage imo.
Frequent breaking when cooking eggs
Both times they’ve broken it has come while cooking eggs in them.
Limited slow cooking options with no low setting
Unfortunately it just basically told me what said in the post, which is not a whole lot of information.
Limited cooking options compared to other models
We have a similar one with just cook and warm. So far we did hotpot on it, pretty good, but recommend boiling the water separately to get it hot faster.

Discussion on the convenience of different rice cookers
Get a timer and experiment.
No obnoxious hard rice at the bottom either.
Tatung or nothing! Never purchased, I inherited one that is older than me (I'm in my 40s) and it mak
Questions about non-coated inner pot options
It's made from clay, which I couldn't find a ton of conclusive info about in regards to its safety.
I'm wondering if your rice cooker arrived? If so, do you mind sharing your thoughts?
General discussion about rice cookers
Works perfectly for Basmati rice for me (2:1 ratio).
Any one of the brands with the actual induction cooking feature is AMAZING.
Discussion on various types of rice
Jasmine rice, Basmati rice, short grain rice, long grain rice, medium grain rice, wild rice, brown rice...
Discussion on brands available at H Mart
Looking at the HMart website... looks like they only sell Koto or Cuckoo.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on alternatives to non-stick cookware
Aroma rice cooker, is it legit? I’ve been using a Zojirushi rice cooker for decades and loved it.
You could also look at Tatung (my mom uses this), instantpot (I use this) or itaki (more of a steamer but it can cook rice) they all use stainless steel inner pots.
I use my instant pot for rice these days as well, we have a cuckoo we barely touch because the instant pot is just more convenient.
can you elaborate how it's more convenient?
Discussion on rice cooking techniques
Rice does stick if you do it wrong, but it comes away beautifully if you do it right.
let sit for 10 more minutes.. that's it.
Questions about operation techniques
Question: Cook button won't stay down on new rice cooker
Mine used to freak out like that, so I would lift the pot out and plug in, or vice versa. Then I could push the button down.
Discussion about slow cooker function and usage
Since this is a phase change, the temperature is consistently 100C, so it stops cooking when it gets hotter than that because there is no water left to boil.
Did it not come with an instruction manual?
Curiosity about making pancakes in the rice cooker
It's just a big fat delicious pancake. To be clear - it's not the primary use of my rice cooker.
Interesting. Is it possible to make those rice cooker pancakes with instant pancake mix?

Questions about rice cooking ratios
It didn't have the measuring cup. Isn't it a 2/1 ratio for brown or white rice?
For jasmine rice, I've always done 1c rice to 1 and 1/4c of water.
The standard rice measuring cup is 160 ml or 2/3 cup. So by using those measurements, you can actually use the water lines on the pot.
I cook rice perfectly in a stainless steel pot all the time. If someone cannot cook rice well then it is a skill issue that a 5 minute YouTube tutorial can fix.
Discussion on measuring cups and replacements
Here's the official rice cup replacement, but as the other commenter said, replacement cups can be found elsewhere.
General tips on rice cooking
My Zojirushi cooks brown basmati at 1-1/2 C. rice to 2-1/3 C. liquid.
Discussion on alternative rice cookers
You should be able to use cheaper rice cooker that doesn't have a brown rice mode to cook brown rice, but you may need to add the presoak time yourself and experiment a bit with the water level.
Any good induction rice cooker with fizzy logic should produce good rice.
Curiosity about alternative rice cookers
Can you tell me which rice cookers use a solid ceramic bowl?
Does Yum Asia sell pure ceramic rice cookers? I can only find ceramic coated on the website.
Discussion about making food more affordable

Our family has always made by soaking and stove. As my mom gets older she sometimes forgets and the rice burns, I am worried about something worse happening.
Highly recommend giving this a try, a bit of prep work, but fantastic rice.
Discussion on rice cooking ratios
1.75 water to 1 rice works well for me in the rice cooker.
Curiosity about pressure cookers compared to rice cookers
Personally I'm more than happy with just my pressure cooker, and use the actual pressure cooking function often enough that I wouldn't get rid of it.
I had an aroma before my IP. The only reason i upgraded was i wanted a bigger one.
General discussion on the convenience of different rice cookers
I still use the aroma to make all grains and polenta, and to steam eggs and dumplings.
