Snoop's Take

The PARACITY French Press Coffee/Tea Maker is a versatile brewing device designed for coffee and tea enthusiasts. Made with durable 304 stainless steel and heat-resistant glass, it allows users to brew rich, flavorful beverages at home or on the go. Consumer feedback highlights the ease of cleaning and maintenance, with users appreciating that "there's almost no cleanup" involved. Many users emphasize the superior taste of coffee made with this French press compared to drip coffee, stating, "it tastes way better than drip IMO." However, some users have reported issues with glass models breaking easily, and there are concerns about grounds ending up in the coffee despite the ultrafine filter. Overall, the PARACITY French Press Coffee/Tea Maker comes highly recommended for those seeking a portable and effective brewing option. While it has some drawbacks, the positive feedback regarding taste and ease of use makes it a strong contender in its category.

What it does well!

Key strengths users can’t stop talking about.
Easy to clean and maintain
Love the combo. Drinking my coffee right now.
there's almost no cleanup, just eject the puck-o-grounds into the compost/trash.
Turns out, my congestion had completely blocked my sense of smell, so I didn’t even notice something was off until the taste hit me.
Better taste compared to drip coffee
Yes, and it tastes way better than drip IMO.
The thing about these are not only will you be saving money as opposed to buying a coffee everyday, but it is sooo much better! If done right it’s so rich and smooth.
My fiancee actually prefers her Kuerogg to our French press.
No one, because they are different.
Effective filtering with ultrafine mesh
Swapped it out for a new one with tighter filter and problem solved.
the sieve is all that matters for the taste and the material you cook the coffee in.
There should never be grounds in your cup from a french press.
the super fine stuff that's inevitable will not be filtered by the mesh.
Durable stainless steel design
I bought an insulated Stainless Steel FP that'll double as a thermos after pressing, it keeps coffee hot so well.
You made a wise choice getting a metal one, also.
This was the first one I bought, and I got it exactly for that reason.
New one is double walled metal and it keeps the coffee hot for so much longer.
Multiple uses for coffee and cold brew
Still costs way less to make it myself (especially cold brewing), and I like the routine in the morning — I start the day doing a simple process just for me.

Where it needs some work!

Areas to watch—feedback on possible improvements.
Glass models break easily
And here I am, on my third glass press like a sucker
I just broke one (full) on Saturday. It was delightful. 😫
Same! I found a glass one new in box at the thrift store for $6. Dropped the darn thing and broke it!
Metal models might affect taste
Does the metal effect the taste at all?
but I never noticed when I switched over.
Difficult cleanup for some users
Fucking hate cleaning my french press.
Grounds can end up in coffee
You will always have fines in FP coffee, no matter how fine the mesh is.
Borosilicate glass breaks easily
I've had to replace the borosilicate carafe twice now because it breaks easily.

Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Preference for stainless steel over glass
Stainless steel & an electric kettle for heating water is the way to go.
Love my stainless steel French press! Don't know why I bothered with glass all those years, it is such a no-brainer!
I would love your recommendations on tea infuser bottles. I am a university student and I love to have tea on the go, in a bottle that I can drink and refill throughout the day.
Technology-free design
I like it, because you can wash the whole thing. There's no dark compartment that can get nasty.
Differences in quality of filters and insulation
Not sure how big the impact is, but how hot the coffee stays while brewing will differ depending on the quality/materials used
Preference for metal over glass for thermal properties.
I use a stainless thermal insulated press from Frieling. Keeps the coffee hot for about an hour.
Preference for metal over glass due to safety and durability
If you like a french press, I also strongly recommend the Aeropress with a metal filter for a cheap, durable, and portable solution.
Discussion on the heat retention properties of different materials
The thickness and thermal mass of the stoneware material would suck so much heat out of the water that the point of a French press just dies because the heat of the water is what brews the coffee.
Mention of brand perception and quality
Helluva find there! I didn't even know Le Creuset made French presses- that looks nice and appears sturdy - might be something to look out for.
General discussion on French press functionality
Instead of buying a new french press ( unless the existing one is broken / not working properly.😅 ) Buy a different brewer ( if you don't have any other brewer ) and experiment with different brew styles and recipes.
I’d rather get an aeropress, but westside happens to have a nice French press.
Some espro French presses might give you a marginally better brew. Anything else and you're wasting money (functionally speaking)

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Many users reference the use of different brewing methods.
It's funny how many people have coffee references in their user name.

Buyer’s Cheat Sheet

What to check before you click ‘Add to Cart.’
Discussion on coffee grinding techniques
Get a burr grinder :D
Comparison of brewing methods
I judged her for using pre-ground coffee in her french press.
Introduce him to the aeropress. They're cheap as hell and make a fucking cup of coffee like no other.
User's surprise at the price of the product
Le Creuset French press!! $9 😭😭 my jaw hit the floor

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Mention of different brands and personal preferences.
Any will do, however my favourite is the Bodum Chambord.
While it probably works fine as intended, I wouldn't use the press.
Users' experiences with different brands and models
You not only made the right choice (IMO) to get a double-walled stainless press, but the Frieling is the best I've handled, I've got the same.
Cultural perceptions of French press in the UK
What’s kinda funny is here in the UK if you use a French press then everyone assumes you’re a coffee peasant who doesn’t know their shit.
Preference for durable options over glass
I have been using my [Ikea UPPHETTA](https://www.ikea.com/in/en/p/upphetta-coffee-tea-maker-glass-stainless-steel-20297849/) French Press for one and a half years and it is still going strong.
