Core Power Plays

The specs and strengths that make it shine.
Discussion on filter quality impacting coffee taste
My old press often let grit sneak through, so the last sip of coffee was always gritty and not pleasant.
Well in terms of using they can make a difference.
You're also suppose from use coarse ground coffee.
You will always have fines in FP coffee, no matter how fine the mesh is.
Mention of insulation affecting brewing temperature
Most people are mentioning differences in filters, which is definitely a great point. But I haven’t seen anyone mention insulation.
I bought an insulated Stainless Steel FP that'll double as a thermos after pressing, it keeps coffee hot so well.
Love my stainless steel French press! Don't know why I bothered with glass all those years, it is such a no-brainer!
Discussion about filter quality impacting coffee taste
Never once have I experienced any difference in taste between a cheap French press and an expensive one.
Discussion about general differences between French presses
No one, because they are different.

Hidden Hero Hacks

Unexpected tricks and side‑door uses you’ll love.
Discussion on brewing methods and techniques
Anyone have a French Press from Amazon to recommend? Could someone recommend a French Press coffee make from Amazon?
If you follow something like the James Hoffmann FP method really every FP is the same.
While it probably works fine as intended, I wouldn't use the press. I'd go with Hoffman's technique.
I use a stainless thermal insulated press from Frieling. Keeps the coffee hot for about an hour.

Discussion on general differences between French presses
Which French press is the best out there and why would you say so?
They're all the same. Seriously.
Works fine for me!
I just like being able to see the coffee inside :(
General discussion on French press usability for beginners
It's easy to use and clean!
They're all the same. There isn't really a beginner version
I use it when I'm camping, and it's pretty convenient.
Whatever time you spend trying to decide between different french presses is probably better spent just making coffee with any of them.
Discussion on keeping coffee hot after brewing
So has anyone tested how long these Yetis keep the coffee at a drinkable temperature? I’m intrigued and like the idea of their filter, but I don’t know if it will actually be better than what I have or not.
Would you be better off using your current press and pouring the coffee into a rambler to store all day? You can preheat the rambler if you really wanted to.
The downside is that the one I got from Amazon doesn't seem to keep coffee hot for more than 5-6 hours and the plastic lid retains coffee odor.

Cautionary Callouts

Know the pitfalls before they catch you off guard.
Discussion about the quality and longevity of Paris Hilton cookware
Paris Hilton Cookware Set? Has anyone tried this? Is it worth a buy?
The Paris Hilton cookware set is...a disposable set of cookware that will likely last you somewhere between a few months to perhaps a few years.
I’ve actually found a lot of her stuff at Ross and Burlington it’s soooo cheap and honestly works really good for the price and they are pretty!!
